Embiid, an MVP winner, has never had enough talent around him to make the conference finals.

James Harden only wants a trade to the L.A. Clippers, per Shams Charania.

"We've seen how James Harden can come into camp when he's disgruntled"

Sigh. What is never mentioned is that we were down 3-1 before rallying to 3-3, and then up 15 heading into the 4th. But we wouldn't've been down 3-1 if Ron Harper hadn't hit a shot he rarely hits to win one of those 3 the Lakers won.

And the Clippers want to lose?
    Who's running that organization?

I think most would be surprised how many athletes DON’T care about the winning and it’s all about the cash. Maybe Harden is one of ‘em.

Generally speaking, they get paid better for not winning.

Steve Blake was the worst offender I've heard of.

Rudy Fernandez challenged Steve to a game of one-on-one. Instead of engaging in some intense basketball action, Steve proposed a rock-paper-scissors battle for the title of the "Grand Master of Apathy." They proceeded to have a wild rock-paper-scissors showdown, complete with dramatic slow-motion throws and a referee who couldn't stop laughing.

Kobe Bryant once found himself engaged in a game of gin rummy with none other than Steve Blake. Steve, ever the master of nonchalance, played his cards with calculated carelessness, as if he was more interested in watching the in-flight movie than winning the game. With each round, he would "accidentally" show his hand to Kobe, giving away his best moves with an exaggerated wink. Kobe, never one to shy away from competition, grew increasingly annoyed by Steve's lackadaisical approach. "Come on, Steve! Show me what you got! I want to win fair and square!" Kobe grumbled, trying to shake some genuine effort out of his peculiar teammate. But Steve persisted in his act, pretending to lose focus and fumbling with the cards. "Oops, did I just give you my winning card again? Silly me!" he quipped, barely containing his grin.

And then there was the infamous 50-cent concert incident. Steve Blake, in a quest for a new source of entertainment beyond basketball, attended the concert with the Laker Girls by his side, trying to upstage 50-cent with his smooth dance moves. However, his signature move, "The Nonchalant Noodle," became an instant meme sensation. Despite his less-than-stellar dance skills, Steve was so determined to be part of the performance that he demanded his car mileage be covered, claiming it was a "special appearance fee" for gracing the stage with his presence.

I believe it was more that he took a pay cut to get OUT of Brooklyn.
