Zion Williamson is only 23 years old. We are talking about playing basketball in the NBA next season, not an actuary table.
We will be the joke of the league if we get Ben Simmons. Don’t y’all realize how much league fans clown on the dude?
Alot of people don't realize that the "Leba" is silent in Lebatard. Although I think everyone on this board gets that in a very real sense.
I like this, but I want different picks. Either further out, or from different teams. Doesn't Brooklyn have a bajillion picks from like 3-4 teams? I'd prefer the soon to be very valuable Sixers picks.
Bro, have you been watching him the last couple years? No one wants Simmons and his game is regressing.
I’m going to be so pissed if we end up with that scrub. At least I can laugh at the people who wanted him and get upset with him.
Great example here. “Someone with knowledge” What if they are reading THIS forum and then sending it out there. “Somebody with a source talked to somebody in Minny and says KAT is heading to Portland” Sigh
First off who cares what the league thinks of us. Secondly I’d take him in a heartbeat. No risk, expiring contract next season. That’s be fantastic by the way. And once again who cares what the league thinks about us?
I think he has two years left on his contract, so he wouldn’t be a free agent after this season I don’t care what other fans think, I just don’t want that head-case on our team. only way I would be ok getting him is if we get someone like KAT or Claxton back
This is all hypothetical of course, but you are assuming we would want to acquire him for his game and the way he plays? I’m thinking more of an asset. That amount of money coming off the books next season is a good thing right?
Yeah the head case part might definitely be a negative. Not sure we want him around our young guys. It would be nice having a 6’10 skilled player agin though.
He had mental health issues and back issues but he was playing great last season when the Nets were stable and had an 18-2 stretch. Look it up. The talent is still there but he’s been in a bad situation the last 2 seasons. Give him stability and he is still very valuable.
Based on how they play, I actually think Ben Simmons & KAT could be excellent paired up together. Both have very unique skills that allow them to impact the game in a variety of ways, but their skill sets are very complementary. (As long as you can keep their head in the game appropriately). I like the idea of this trade: The roster would look like this after the trade: PG: Scoot, ?????, Johnson SG: Sharpe, Thybulle, Rupert SF: Grant, Martin, Jaquez PF: Simmons, Jovic, Walker, Murray C: KAT, Portland would have 2 open roster spots with being ~$10M below the cap. Portland would need a good veteran leadership and a good backup PG & C Although not everyone on this list is a veteran, these are players that I would target: + Xavier Tillman (Memphis) + Kelley Olynyk (Utah) + Delon Wright (Washington) + Danilo Gallinari (Washington) + Ish Smith (FA) + Matt Dellavedova (FA) + Bismack Biyombo
Of all the players in the NBA that played at least 30 games last season, how many players do you think averaged 6 apg and 6 rpg? The answer? 10. Jokic, Sabonis, Luka, LaMelo, Harden, Curry, LeBron, Draymond, Giddey, and Ben Simmons. The talent is there. He just needs a stable situation.
Wow that’s pretty inclusive company. And when you take it further only one of those players shot 10% from three and 20% from the free throw line!
