    I would also like to point out that the AD to LAL trade was talked about for a while before the actual trade because AD was deep into his last year and notified New Orleans he would not be re-signing with them at the end of the season. They traded him to where he wanted to be because it was expeditious and the Lakers would give up the most for the player Lebron hand picked. Yes, he could have been a 60 day rental but that would be absurd. AD was fined;

    Pelicans’ Anthony Davis fined
    Official Release |

    January 29, 2019

NEW YORK – New Orleans Pelicans forward-center Anthony Davis has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for violating a collectively-bargained rule prohibiting players or their representatives from making public trade demands. The fine is for statements that were made by Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, in an intentional effort to undermine the contractual relationship between Davis and the Pelicans.

The above post shows they increased the fine in the new CBA from $50k to $150K. That would suggest it was a priority for the owners.

Quoting myself here asking someone to send this to that Miami writer, Barry Jackson I believe. I guess he can not do his own research. I don't do Twitter/X.

Jackson is much more interested in clicks/likes from Heat fans than about being realistic or correct.

Apparently, they didn't get the memo that none of those players were going to come to Portland anyway

the NBA is loving this Trade Dame drama. What otherwise would be a really stagnant part of the offseason, is swirling with finger pointing accusations, and a fresh hot memo from the head office.

Oh my gosh Adam Silver, we're all so scared. Oooooooo. Run, lock the doors. F off Silver. You allow Golden State, Phoenix, others to circumvent the rules with the tax lines. You slap Jaws Moront on the wrist for being a bigtime turd. Like Dame & his agent are shaking in their boots. Get outta here with that gahbidge.

And Fans of Dame are monitoring how some fans have stabbed him in the back with their vile diatribes , when it was the GM not keeping his promises who started this BS.

As I stated, handled poorly on all fronts. I suppose that I do place most of the blame on the Blazers org. These guys are a dumpster fire. You know that every player and every team is watching to see how Dame is treated. This will have severe ramifications on how willing other players are going to engage with the Blazers in the future.

When you put your house on the market and someone offers you $5.00, you don’t counter. Serious offers only.

He's probably got a similar personality type to these dopes.
    1. Aaron Hernandez (1989-2017): A former American football player, Aaron Hernandez had a promising career in the NFL. However, he was convicted of first-degree murder in 2015 for the killing of Odin Lloyd and was linked to other violent crimes. He died by suicide in prison in 2017.

    2. Aaron Burr (1756-1836): An American politician and vice president under Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr is infamous for killing Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. The duel resulted from a long-standing political and personal rivalry, tarnishing Burr's reputation for years to come.

    3. Aaron Kosminski (1865-1919): A Polish immigrant living in London, Aaron Kosminski was a suspect in the infamous "Jack the Ripper" serial killings that terrorized the Whitechapel district in 1888. While not officially convicted, he remains one of the key suspects in the unsolved case.

    4. Aaron "Bunny" Lapin (1886-1964): Aaron "Bunny" Lapin was an American entrepreneur and inventor. In the 1920s, he came up with an unusual invention called the "Lapin Earphone Holder." This peculiar device was designed to keep earphones in place while walking or exercising, but it involved attaching small metal hooks to the ears, holding the earphones securely. The invention was met with mixed reviews and was seen as both humorous and quirky at the time.
    5. The "Great Emu War" Dispute - Aaron Anderson (date of birth unknown): In the early 1930s, Australia faced an amusing but bizarre dispute known as the "Great Emu War." Large populations of emus were causing havoc in Western Australia by damaging crops, and the government responded by sending military personnel to control the emu population. One of the soldiers involved in the "war" was Aaron Anderson.

Only Blazer fans are looking at how Dame is treated...players in the league couldn't give a shit about Portland's front office or the team. If they did they'd be clamoring to join Dame in a Blazer championship run...ain't happenin' as much as I wanted it to

If I were in Cronin’s shoes, in light of yesterday’s announcement by the league, I’d issue a press release saying that after weeks of discussions with the Heat the Blazers don’t see a viable path to a trade and are closing down further negotiations. The Blazers remain open to honoring Dame’s request for a trade, but only for a return package commensurate with his value to the Blazers and All-NBA talent. Barring such a trade offer being forthcoming, the Blazers will welcome Dame at fall camp.
