It's that you're melted from the jump. You have to start in a solid state to have people hear you.

Why is this suddenly a thing? Because he didn't sign his extension right away we are getting LaMarcus flashbacks? Or because of the report that Detroit might have interest bringing him back?

Point is, it's better for him to wait until the summer, so that's what he's doing. Dude has said he likes it here, he likes Dame, he was born here, he seems happy, what am I missing?

perspective...great post. Fact is nobody in the Blazers staff has done anything to piss all these folks off...it's setting yourself up for disappointment that causes the meltdown....I'm more interested in how the new players fit now than I was watching the team we've been watching anyway. This team still needs an identity and hasn't had one yet. Injuries are part of that but we were 26th ranked defense after the last game and we got an all nba defensive player in Thybulle.

I find it impossible to stay in a solid state, when the Blazers are telling me Trendon Watford is going to be the next Kevin Garnett.

KG might be a stretch but go ahead and look at the 2021 draft. Of the top 10 there are at least 3 that he has out performed. He's only in his second year and he is making an impact. Greg Brown just got waived.
Trendon Watford is exactly the type of luck this team needs.

I mean what bigger LOSS could we all be talking about right now than losing Lillard?

I can think of a hundred off the top of my head, no great loss as it was time to rebuild and trade Dame, and we have a nice start already with Scoot and Shae

Guess that is one way to look at it. We all knew this was going to happen eventually.
Funny almost eerily the same as losing Drexler. Clyde didn't want to be part of the rebuild and wanted to go to the Rockets.
I just wonder if Dame goes to Miami and wins a ring does he go into the Hall Of Fame wearing a Heat jersey?

Pretty tough being a Blazer fan right now.

I'm getting pretty tired of this ownership.
I really don't like Joe Cronin.
I absolutely don't like Chauncey Billups as the head coach.
    The roster sucks.

Really tired of being a lottery team already but obviously there is little or no hope of being anything else for the next 2-3 years at least. There isn't even good prospects in the next couple drafts to get excited about.

Not gonna lie. I just don't see much to follow when it comes to the Blazers.

Kjironman is NOT a fan at all right now.

I hear you man. What's funny, or not!, is some in here all of a sudden are like, "let's add this forward, and then lets add that center". When if Cronin had done that to begin with, i doubt Dame wants to leave, even though that's debatable too( I think he'd stay if Joe would just get the lead out, and maybe he will :blessed:).

A small backcourt can work, if it's dynamic. Dame is great, and Scoot has the making of special. Mitchell & Garland prove that, but they have the defense behind them with size. That's what this team needs.
I also hate this "that ship has sailed" in regards to Dame. You out there don't know didley whether he's traded or ends up staying.
None of us really know. So those who have an anti-Dame agenda can hope, pray , or whatever you do.

I get it KJ. Dame was sold a bad bill of goods that if he shut it done, with the higher lottery pick , the Blazers would bring in the pieces to build around him. Not bring in a guy at his own position. I'm still holding out hope, cause i don't think a depleted Heat roster , after a trade , is that much better for Dame.
And because the compensation that Cronin does want would deplete any team involved in a trade to the point where they aren't as strong. But Cronin needs to add key pieces to this team, and show Dame that staying is best. maybe he is.

I hope he is, and i owe Joe a big apology when it's over. But this has been my worst offseason. No fun at all. Summer league sucked. Free Agency Sucked. Health went down hill because of it. Total Blazer shitshow.

Damn man….. I’m the complete opposite. This is the first time I have been excited about the team in years. The first time I have felt good about the future in a long time.

Exactly the same here. Cancelled my league pass last season for 1st time in 10 years but was awake for 1st summer league game. I will subscribe again to the league pass thanks to our future.

I totally thought Dame had been traded when I saw the meltdown thread bumped.

I guess if you like losing. This team will struggle to win 30 games without Dame. 30 games gets them an 8-10 pick.
Unless of course you want to lose on purpose again? Losing culture can keep going a very long time. Ask the Clippers/Kings/Warriors.
This team needs new ownership and a complete makeover in the front office/coaching staff.
