I almost feel sorry for Dame. He is an all-star without a team.

The only trade I see working with the Heat is; a trade built around Dame for Jimmy Butler

 

With two months left in the season and his contract expiring, he probably did open up to all teams after being fined $50k for publicly stating he wanted LAL.

Dame is two months older than Jimmy. They make the same amount, but Jimmy's contract is 1 season shorter.

Maybe the trade sends Jimmy to third team instead of Hero?

If the choice is keeping Dame, or trading for Jimmy. Jimmy would be the better fit.

You bring up a great point. Nobody is even willing to discuss Bam or Jimmy for Dame. It's a forgone conclusion that those two are off limits and they need Dame to pair with to compete. The common theme is Portland is being selfish to Dame and Miami.
