That was the Paul George summer. Rumor was that George could have been had if we would have given up CJ.
Oh shit it was 2017. We had three first rounders (15, 20 and 26) and we could have also used two of the three picks we gave up later for RoCo and Nance. I don't think it would have taken CJ and five firsts but considering what we got out of those assets it would have been worth it, since PG13 had two years left on that contract anyway.
Can you imagine if we didn't suck at drafting though? We could have had John Collins, Jarrett Allen, and Josh Hart if we had used our own picks. Or we could have used #10 and taken Bam.
And potentially owe the Bulls a pick if we make the playoffs in the next 4 years... yeah, still four (actually 5 because of Stepien) fucking years of potentially having our first rounders tied up due to Olshey's dumbass. I guess the good news is we finally have a first rounder that's tradeable again with our 2030 FRP. Fucking Olshey.
Weird bugaboo.... but I don't understand why he needs the "Jr" part on his jersey. His dad doesn't play in the NBA. Nobody is going to confuse them.
I think if a player wants themselves marketed as Jr. then that's cool. If they want that on the back of their jersey to signify that they aren't the only person with their name that is important to them, it's cool. I think it's cool that Marcus Morris gets to recognize his son by putting Sr. on his jersey. I think it's fucking annoying when the announcers say Jr. after their last name during play by play every single time though. That shit is unnecessary to me. Like you said though, it's you're weird bugaboo and we're all entitled to what makes us feel weird or annoyed.
It's funny how Ken Griffey Jr was just known as Junior to a lot of people though. To me, that made sense. His dad had his own legacy. They even played together. It's totally just a personal bugaboo. I don't really care.... just think it's silly.
The thing I like about JJJ, is his size for an SF 6'6" without shoes, is nothing special, but he weighed in at 226 at the combine. I think he can be a solid 2-way player....even if it is off the bench.
If we’re complaining about something as minor as Andrew Nicholson’s dead cap hit, that would be the brightest timeline, lol.
“Portland: we’ll l trade you to any team but Miami! Big brains there in Portland. Enjoy paying mid-players near max money - no all-star player will ever sign (or re-sign) there again.”
“So Dame receives consequences for wanting only Miami but Cronin receives none for not engaging in any discussions? What kind of bullshit is this?”
