Dame publicly came out and praised how good Jody has been to him and his family...you can google it. She's done nothing wrong to you or the franchise. If I felt the way you seem to feel about ownership and management I wouldn't be a Blazer fan. Choices. Jody fired Neil Olshey....her brother hired him and drafted small guard after small guard.
When was this ?? -- maybe it's not all Jody maybe and I will concede maybe this is more Vulcan BS like in the past so maybe I am being too hard on her but something up top is screwed up and I do believe that. I am not asking for you to post this article but give me a vague date like Summer of 21' or something and it could be true AT the time but unless this stuff happened in the last year ish then does not mean much cause things can change.
Thank you - River for the link and now until she proves different I think we can blame Vulcan they have always been the shady part of this like during the jailblazers era etc so I will lay off Jody
It's like the HOV lane on I-5 heading from Portland. I think practically everyone in the United States knows a better word that means the same thing.
It's just sad that EVERY THING they do illicits this reaction. This should have no blip for anyone. If it does, then it really isn't about their actions but the reaction.
still listened to every single game on the radio, every one. will still follow this team after dame is long gone, as long as i am blessed to be around.
Portland is adept at finding players on the scrap heap that other teams know belong on the scrap heap.
was this post pryz double knee injury? fuck i still feel so bad for him for that one i loved me some pryzbilla
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that the team that got the Blazers to the LA and Roy draft so at least that served a purpose and the Blazers made the best out of a bad situation unlike this front office that said one thing and did the other and is running off the best player in team history. Also I do remember that team and yeah it was bad and I forget what year that was but thinking that might have even been a year before the draft i am thinking of but I am sure someone will correct me.
Giving your franchise player a half billion dollars and the key to the franchise is pretty fucking far away from "chasing him off" ...Nobody on the Blazers wanted Dame to demand a trade...you need to check your vitriol and see reality as far as what Goodwin has done not only to the Blazers and Dame, but to free agency and the entire league over this. The last thing the Blazers wanted with Dame is a public trade demand....usually with a franchise player it's done quietly behind closed doors and usually when they only have one year left on their contract...Dame signed his mega extension last summer..that's a slap in the face to any company that gives top dollar to an employee and Dame is an employee, not a free agent. No matter who the team drafts or signs Dame has no say in roster construction. He was the guy who got the bag under Joe's roster construction and left little cap room for signing needle moving vets....Tim Duncan took an actual pay cut to bring Manu Ginobli back as they didn't have the cap space at the time...that's loyalty. Joe gave Dame's friend Jerami a massive deal to please Dame the day before he demanded a trade...what part of that make you think..." chasing him away?" Dame should be thrilled we drafted the best player on the board on a rookie deal...Scoot may end up being better than Jimmy Butler or Bam...we won't know until he's got a resume. Scoot would have helped Dame extend his career and health. It's Dame's loss in my view. The Blazers absolutely crushed the draft this year in my view and that should make any older vet feel better about winning looking at the big picture.
