Him and that Ismar dude. I do love watching Witt play. KC gonna be scary good if they get some decent pitching.

You could be right here. I certainly did not see them winning 17 of their last 20 games. Might have the best August record I've seen in a very long time.

Can the Mariners sign any free agent relief pitching at this point in the season or is the roster set? Would be nice to have another decent vet in the bullpen.

I know there's a date where the roster has to be set if you want them for the playoffs. I think that's Friday (9/1)?

Man, you really don't like our bullpen. Not saying they are world beaters, and they may in fact be a weak link for a deep playoff run, but they've held up better than I expected this year. They may get in jams here and there, but that shit happens. The fact that they often get out of it says a lot more about them in my opinion.

All that being said, I too would gladly welcome another arm for the playoffs.

I know I complain a lot. And the bottom line is getting the win, no matter how close of a call. I just don't understand why the decline I guess, other than Sewald. It's heartbreaking to see the bullpen blow a win.

Please, doubt me! I am wrong much more often than I'm right. But I dunno... this just seemed to make sense. Actually, they caught Texas way sooner than I thought they would. And this stretch of weaker teams for the M's and tougher teams for Texas goes another week. I just hope they're able to keep it up; it would be nice to have a cushion before those final 10 games.

For real. Didn't have the 2nd best offense going ice cold for 8 games in a row on my bingo card. Keep it up Texas!

That last 10 games, if we're within a game of the division and if wild cards are still this close... My god. I can't even imagine

Damn dude, just unreal offense by the mariners. Only unproductive at bat was by Julio but the teammates picked him up. Julio not having to carry is so nice!

Ya can’t throw a pitch like that to a guy like Julio…
Even Logan’s lone run was not a terrible pitch; just didn’t break enough. Guy got a homer on a pitch he “should have” took. Bravo Logan.

Kelenic will be rehabbing down in Tacoma as early as next week. To @Whyachi 's point above, how do you guys feel about bringing him back? Will is disrupt the vibe we do obviously have right now?

If SOMEHOW he comes back and does what he did in April and may, sure.

But dude Rojas, Canzone, and Marlowe have done a great job. I'm sorry, until further notice, Kelenic hasn't earned the right to just re-enter.

This is true. Unreal. Imagine if we didn't "felix" that game, or hit a ball off Anderson's head. What a fucking month man.
