Cracks me up that it’s couched as the Blazers should “demand” Jovic. As if there’s even a question that the Heat could withhold him and have a chance of the Blazers accepting the trade.
Exactly and it won't slow his development because he will still be getting enough minutes despite not starting.
Send Tyler or Tyler&Highsmith should go to a 3rd team with the Blazers getting the returns. In addition, Miami needs to send us multiple unprotected FRPs and Pswaps
I think you're almost automatically looking at the Heat unloading Lowry if they get Dame, though, right? He's kind of a forgotten player in all this talk, but they aren't keeping him if they get Dame. I've always presumed he'd be coming to Portland if only for a moment before being let go or sent somewhere else.
I just watched about 2 minutes of BIG3 ball. It looked like 3 Kyle Lowry's vs. 3 Kyle Lowry's. Chubby old guys, 2 bad passes sailed outta bounds, every shot missed. But everyone was happy because Ice Cube is a head coach, and Jaylen Brown was in attendance.
Yeah, things like defending, facilitating and feeding the hot hand...Oh, wait, hmmm. What is he picking his brain about? Rap lyrics? Logo 3's? Scoot is just fine with his game and Chauncey's guidance and by every indication is not in need of motivation to evolve his craft. Now Thybulle getting in the ear of Scoot and Sharpe would be a good thing. Not sure he has it in him, but I hope he takes advantage of the opening to bring some leadership.
Who is the big contract coming back? Lowry? I don't like it. I think both Jovic and Jaime fill immediate needs, even if they are not quite ready now. I would want those 2
Broussard is such a homophobe, I can’t stand him. He’s probably repenting at this very moment after seeing himself with hearts in his eyes in regards to another dude.
I say this in jest....but maybe we wait until the end of training camp so Jovic gets more time learning defense from Spoelstra. Every bit helps. He looks to have an all-around good offensive game for a PF. He can shoot and pass.
That is pretty funny. As if Miami is like "well FINE, we'll include him" and Portland is like "um, there was never a trade scenario that didn't have him included. As the start of a trade concept"
To be more specific ... 1. How to shoot ... 3's. Feet, stroke, controlling the opposition ... step back, side step, screen directly up with a guy on his hip taking the contact and hitting the 3 ... 2. Building shot repertoire at all 3 levels and finishing ... 3. How to take care of one's body akin to Lebron James ... 4. To build basketball strength, with a plan and reps, to extend his range looking effortless as he does so ... It's not like I know a great deal about Lillard or the intricacies of how he became a top 75 player of all time ... but what Scoot is too young to know from his experience or has a different game than Lillard ... but yes, Scoot can learn quite a bit from Lillard even from October to December -- if he wants to.
