I was a fan of Torres for about 1/2 a season...he's painfully mediocre at both in the field as well as at the plate. I wanted him gone 2 years ago. One of Cashman's many many failures was not trading Torres when his value was still high.
He's only 26 but it feels like you're always going to wondering what happened to that guy from 2019. Talent isn't the issue it's what's between his ears. Streaky hitter and seems to lack the mental ability to be great.
Yup...I've kinda compared him in some ways to Robbie Cano. The Yanx are not and have not been "athletic" enough for several years now.
