You're presenting your opinions as facts, it's pretty funny. Almost the entire basketball world even those with a great understanding of the history of the game say the debate for GOAT is between MJ and LeBron.

Well yeah, this is obviously all opinion. That's the nature of this discussion.

Is it ludicrous, or is it telling?

It’s telling that they need to fix the allstar selection voting process.

If CJ were a Laker, Celtic, Nick etc., with the same #s, he would have been an All-Star IMHO.

You think if his name was Nick he'd have been an All-Star?

    You know what's funny?

Jamal Crawford - zero All-Star selections.
Lou Williams - zero All-Star selections.

Those two guys compare most favorably to CJ and they never made the team. Chucker combo guards usually have one niche.... microwave off the bench. That's where Simons should be as well. I think the reason why people think CJ could have made a team is because historically, guys who score over 20 ppg had a decent chance of making it, but there are SO many scoring guards these days, it's not special. It doesn't stand out. Just putting up points isn't enough. I watched that G League documentary and they focused on that scoring combo guard, Gabe York.

The guy just doesn't get it. He's a 6'3 scorer who lights up the G League at 29 years old. When he does get a chance in the NBA, his scoring drops like a rock, but he's still chasing it. The league doesn't need more 6'3 dudes who do nothing except shoot.

Yes but all star votes are a popularity contest and nothing more. All nba is a different story

So fans don't want to see CJ play in the only game they have a say in who they want to see play?

And because of that, we shouldn't allow fans to pick the all-star rosters anymore?

CJ, nice guy, okay wine, not sure he's worth taking away the fans voting in the all-star selection.

Never really thought of it that way? Not sure he would warrant that anyway.
Agree good player with his decent off court personality. Probably not the player to be upset about not getting to the all star game.
