I disagree. Sochan is projected to be a bench player at best with the arrival of Wemby. Herro has already produced at a very high level on a competitive team at a young age. He has value. His passing ability would be a great fit for the Spurs.
Members within the organization have already said he'll be coming off the bench since Wemby will be starting at 4.
You're asking the wrong guy. They've been meaning to get a 5 so Vic doesn't have to bang inside against NBA centers... not until his body fills out.
Here's a fun fact, of an airplane loses cabin pressure, you have to make sure you have oxygen before a child sitting next to you gets oxygen. If Jody isn't happy, Joe gets fired and he can't fix the team.
Sometimes, and I know I'm guilty of this myself, people will find an excuse to complain/be unhappy/frustrated with a situation, and migrate to the narrative that confirms their bias. Even if that bias isn't logical, or well thought out. See: Why my math teacher in high school is the reason I got a D+ in that class, and not because I was lazy and didn't pay attention.
Miami gets Dame for only Jaquez Jovic Martin filler two picks? They need to give up Herro. They can keep Martin or if not we eat Robinson contract. If it's just Nurk NAS or whatever for Ayton then we need more for Lillard. Some of these proposals seem to mask a poor return for Lillard with an Ayton Nurk swap.
Sochan was always projected to be a starter. I doubt Spurs give him up for Herro. If Herro could get us Sochan, do it.
literally no one thinks this or projects this, aside from you, maybe. long-term, sochan is a starter piece.
I'm trying to be realistic/set my expectations low so if the reality is even worse than this I have less of a meltdown. That being said, two unprotected picks that come after Dame and Jimmy should be effective in any way, two unprotected swaps around the same time, a big expiring contract on a player who would be a great mentor to our young guards, two middling prospects and Ayton is not a fair return for Dame and Nurk but I think it's a realistic one. Who knows what it will be but I won't be as pissed as I'm still worried the trade will leave me if this is the trade.
As a player on any other team, yes. But I hear they don't want Wemby to rumble with 5s so they'll have him at the 4. Sochan is only a 4 so if this all holds to be true, he'll be a backup for the foreseeable future. If they can turn a bench player into a quality young perimeter player they might.
I guess we'll see this season. There's no way to start him unless they put Wemby at the 5 which they've said they won't do.
If we sent Ant and one of the Heat picks for Sochan and McBuckets that might be a tempting offer. Those Spurs really lack perimeter scoring and Ant is an absolute bucket.
