Hillary Clinton left office as secretary of state with a 76% approval rating. McCarthy held Benghazi hearing with stated aim of lowering her poll numbers by making her look guilty of something. With assists from Russia, Comey and major media, by 2016 election most voters actually thought Trump was the more honest and trustworthy candidate. He actually received fewer votes in key swing states than Romney, but Clinton got way fewer than Obama. A lot of people saw no choice and didn't vote. Same playbook. And it's working. Most people now think Trump and Biden are equally corrupt and mentally incompetent. Trump's floor is also his ceiling. He won't win new voters. But if Republicans can convince enough voters there is no difference, they stay home. The only way Trump can win is low turnout, because his cult will vote.
I remember VIVIDLY and EXACTLY where I was when; When Kennedy was shot (at home because it was coincidentally also the first time I missed a day of school) When we landed on the moon (at a friend's house watching it on TV) When my Son was born (In the delivery room savoring every minute) When I got the news that John Lennon had been shot (watching Monday Night Football...Howard Cosell broke the news) When I got the call that my Dad had passed away (I was mowing the grass and my wife called me inside saying my Brother was on the phone) When the 2nd jet hit the 2nd Tower (at my Golf Shop watching it live on TV)

White House: House GOP plan for impeachment is to ‘figure out the evidence later’ https://apple.news/AtStlgsaKQraN_e1Sr7olcQ The White House on Tuesday hit House Republicans for the impeachment inquiry into President Biden, saying that their plan is to figure out the evidence after declaring he is guilty. “The most extreme members of the House Republican caucus – the very people Speaker McCarthy has put in charge of the baseless impeachment stunt – have revealed their plan: declare guilt first, figure out the ‘evidence’ later,” the White House said in a memo first obtained by The Hill. The memo outlined that lawmakers like Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) have declared that Biden should be treated as a criminal and that there is enough evidence against him. But, the memo outlines that other House Republicans “are refuting these outrageous false claims,” highlighting lawmakers like Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo), who said in a recent opinion piece that his colleagues are “relying on an imagined history” for impeachment. “They are on a politically motivated fishing expedition that willfully ignores that their allegations have been repeatedly refuted not just by the White House, or Democrats in Congress, or the mainstream media, but by their own Republican colleagues,” the White House said. “The more time they waste on this wild goose chase, the more they reveal how much of a political stunt this inquiry truly is.” McCarthy last week moved to direct House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into Biden. The House investigations have centered on Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his business dealings in Ukraine. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has not found that the president directly financially benefited from his son’s business or proved that he made any policy decisions because of them. The impeachment drive by the House GOP has divided the Republican Party, with a number of Senate Republicans making it clear they oppose the effort and think it lacks evidence. The White House has highlighted those divisions in other memos too over the last month.
The very stable genius called Biden's speech to United Nations surrender, to whom not specified, adding the chamber was empty. Photos show a full room. Who do you believe, Trump or your lying eyes?
Yup; Trump knocks Biden’s UN address as a ‘surrender’ speech Former President Donald Trump took aim at President Biden’s address to world leaders at the 2023 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday, referring to his potential 2024 election opponent’s speech as a “surrender” to which nobody “showed up” in a recent post on TruthSocial. “Biden just finished his surrender (“speech”) at the United Nations, and nobody, despite all we give them, showed up,” Trump wrote in a post on TruthSocial. “No respect for America any longer!” The GOP frontrunner’s comments came after Biden appealed to the heads of state and government from at least 145 countries at the organization’s headquarters in New York, urging them to unite in support of Ukraine as the Russian invasion continues. “Russia believes that the world will grow weary and allow it to brutalize Ukraine without consequence,” Biden said. “But I ask you this: If we abandon the core principles of the U.N. Charter to appease an aggressor, can any member state feel confident that they are protected?” The president affirmed America’s commitment to “stand with the brave people of Ukraine as they defend their sovereignty and territorial integrity — and their freedom,” encouraging his international allies and partners to do the same. The Biden administration is currently working on securing approval from Congress to provide $24 billion in additional funding for Ukraine but must contend with resistance from some conservative House members. Trump, who has said during this year’s election cycle that he would end the war in 24 hours and would not commit to sending aid to Ukraine if re-elected,(Trump) last addressed the UNGA in 2018 and was met with laughter from the audience after he claimed at the time that in his two years of office, he had “accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”
Joe needs to retire and enjoy his wife and grandkids. I voted for Joe but do have reservations about him running for 2024. Really, to allow him to continue in 2024 wouldn't be fair to Joe, imo. Time for Joe to retire. Daily MailJoe Biden praises 'BLACK Caucus' during speech to Hispanic Caucus13 hours ago
I tend to agree, but the guy has gotten some positive things done, even with the Republican clown circus in the House. Just getting anything passed in the current House is laudable. And for whatever it is worth, my retirement accounts have done far, far better in 3 years under Biden than they did in 4 years under Trump. Biden (unfortunately) is the lesser of two evils.....
I would love a young charismatic president with progressive views who is a master negotiator, likes cats, and preferably something other than white male. But in the real world we are almost certainly looking at a Biden vs Trump choice. Biden was not one of my top five picks in 2020 but this is the reality. It's not a hard choice.
Joe's going to have to take one for the team if nobody else polls better against Trump. Nothing else is as important as keeping Trump out of power.
The only reason Trump won in 16 it was a vote more against Hillary than for Trump. I guess you could be right if Joe runs and people think he's to old and struggling? Seems the two parties dont give a shit about age or competency....
I don't know. I'm not sure if the country would survive another 4 years with Trump. In fact, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. It's not worth the risk. I'd rather joe win and die in office than risk an unknown. I'm pretty sure Biden will beat Trump. Like 95% sure.
Dems have plenty of young capable possibilities, like Jefferies or Newsom, they would beat any republican nominee. The one dem that could lose might be Joe, if he runs against someone other than trump because of his age?
I'm not the biggest fan, but from a pure aesthetic perspective, Gavin Newsom should be the guy to run against Trump. Biden is likely to lose.
He forgot he has feet? The leadership? Sure, he's a safe pick for them. The conundrum is how do they get Gavin Newsom in there and skip Kamala Harris altogether? They've painted themselves in a corner and it's going to be really hard to get out.
Lol. Kamala Harris is so unpopular... but she sold out in an instant. So I guess that's why they like her.
