He WOULD be a great fit for Portland. Good for him, good for the team, good for Scoot.

So Portland doesn’t want to be Dicked by Miami but they want Dick from Toronto. Okay, cool. As long as Lillard doesn’t go to Miami I don’t care what kind of Dick Portland wants.

Grady would be really fun. He's an underrated transition player and his shooting and decision making combination is a skillset we don't have.

Feels very unlikely but if they really want Dame, who knows.

I was gonna like this post, but that would imply I like Dick, and that is just not the case!

I think so to, a young lotto pick and an above average vet at a position of need. I'd like to get Boucher as well.

Also the poetic justice of trading Damian not to Miami, and getting one of the players in return that he wanted us to deal Scoot/Sharpe for....

    He'd be an expiring filler.

Trent doesn't make sense here with the history, either he goes elsewhere in a 3 way or we get different filler.

I like Grady Dick also. I think he would be a fan favorite because he’s a high energy player and fun to watch, he has the personality and he’s got the ability to be a great shooter.

Portland has a thing about trading guards to Toronto.

Trading for OG and Ayton could maximize the chances of winning a title in 3-7 years. You make it sounds like they're Dames age.

    1. They both would be well in their prime in 3 years and possibly still very effective in 7 years.

    2. Winning more games the next two years could improve Scoot Sharpe development significantly so they're better able to win sooner such as 3 years

    3. The opportunity cost of having less win now players than OG or Ayton sounds very minor. If the Miami offer is 3 picks and the Toronto offer is 2 picks we didn't miss out on much

    4. Even if the Blazers decide to trade OG or Ayton later it's very possible the return could be higher than their cost today.

Marang is reporting that Toronto ownership is really pushing for this.

It's a good reminder.. in deals this big it's not really a straightforward Cronin and Masai call where they're both on the phone... it's whatever both ownership groups want

The GM is just their assistant

If that’s the case maybe they give in and put Scottie Barnes in the deal instead of OG?

I don't think so, I'd assume it could be why discussions have gotten this far and not had the Masai pipedream demands.

If true it's a good sign as probably more likely Toronto is serious about a deal and not just trying to pull one on the Blazers or kick the tires.
