I liked Simmons a lot better with Dame on the team, but I guess if you can put him with Simons and Sharpe and Grant he would be okay.
I think you can have 2 non-shooters on the floor, Simmons and the Center. It would be ideal to have a Center who can hit the 3 next to Simmons of course. Obviously you have to have good shooters surrounding them. It could be a bit of a problem with Scoot still needing to find his 3-ball. I also think that playing Simmons at center is an intriguing idea. Sure he can't stop Jokic or Embiid, but then, who can? He would be god tier for switching on the Pick and Roll at the center position and then you could easily surround him with 3-4 shooters and he becomes a secondary ballhandler on the break and a pick and roll nightmare with Scoot.
His versatility especially on defense is amazing, the fact he can handle the ball and pass is amazing. Someone needs to do the Clockwork Orange video watching scene, just with him learning to shoot, and then that guy is a top 5-10 player in the League.
That was me. I don't have a personal relationship with him. He's a guy that plays for my home town team that has demanded a trade to Miami. I also did not pay any attention to Drexler or Walton upon their exits. I will say when Walton got his physical issues settled with the Celtics, enough time had passed for me to accept his Portland departure and enjoy his game. Drexler, still meh about him. Lillard will just be another dude.
How hilarious would it be if we got Simmons and Ayton? Two number one overall picks, and then we have Scoot, who could have easily gone number one in some recent drafts.
Exactly this. I think ORL could have done much better and would have loved to have those picks in the hands of Schmitz. But now, I don't like what they did at all so those picks are pretty dead to me.
Joe "Dame we have Toronto interested in your talents, Miami just doesn't have a viable offer, so its Toronto, or stay here"? Dame, I'll stay
Hey everybody is allowed to react how they want. But I CAN tell you Dame is not "just another dude". And you'll really notice it once he is gone. Thats a once in a generational talent and a quality person OFF the court as well. Represented this organization and city better than any other player in the history of P-Town sports.
We should sign Anthony Bennett and start him at the 4. I don’t think Grant is a natural 4, he’s more of a 3. Giving Scoot and Shae a starting lineup of Grant and two former #1 picks in Ayton and Bennett? Let’s make some noise boys.
I doubt I will. He's only got one dealership, he's more of a Jim Fisher than a Ron Tonkin. Not really a major player. barfo
Simmons recently came out and said "I am a PG". I think he would pout and sit if the Blazers asked him to play PF.
