Why? His trade value will never be higher than it is now.

According to the radio people in Miami, it would be higher!

Joe Cronin should call up Pat Riley, and be like "You want Jrue Holiday, you can't have him....do you feel like crying? It's ok...."

What makes Pat Riley a great GM is he doesn’t usually over pay. He set his limit and wouldn’t budge hard for me to be pissed and vengeful to him. Now the fans I can see that lol

The celtics trade idea doesn't make sense. RW has only appeared in 97 games over 5 years. We don't really need a guard and Brogdon doesn't fit in long term. Also the Celtics are going to be good for awhile, meaning their picks will all below 1st round picks.

    First you don't know that.
The idea has more to do with him going where they need him. I also don't have a problem with Scoot working with Jrue for the next few months. Think it could help him.
I certainly have no problem with Joe doing his job and looking at all offers available now.

That is seriously what they were saying just two days ago. Now Miami still can't find a team to take Herro.

He has a yr left on his deal followed by a player option. If we wait, teams could be potentially renting him for half a season. No way they offer more then vs now. Jrue's entire appeal to us is in his trade value. I'm not willing to affect that value with waiting and risking injury. Whatever insight Scoot can gain from Holiday, he can get from Chauncey.

Your math seems a little off? Also I said trade deadline. I guess i should have said This seasons trade deadline. He ain't walking away from $37 million so any team that gets him will have him for the remainder of this season and next. He isn't the kind of player to sit out and sulk.
Then there are the suiters? It's murky right now? I can promise it will be much less murky in a couple months.

Now here is something that supports trading him soon. What if he gets injured? That would destroy his trade value. So yeah if they get a decent offer soon I'm good with them taking it for sure.

With the way Miami is trying to save face and throw Joe under the bus, I don’t think we will be sending Jrue to Miami.

The funniest thing is, Miamis offer wasn't the best AND they talked shit about the Blazers AND their star player is trying to imply tampering (tho you could argue Damians agent did far more tampering than the Blazers could've done).

Even if Jimmy is being sarcastic, there are enough idiot fans out there who believe everything they're told and are allergic to doing any kind of research (or the ability to offer up any kind of mea culpa), so it's doing damage.

So if I'm Portland, I wouldn't even call them back. And what's funny? Miami is acting like they're owed a call back or a return offer from Portland *just* because Damian wanted to go there.

Their assets, at least that they were willing to trade for, were mediocre. Even the supposed "we can trade Herro for a 1st!" line is malarkey. The pick he's worth might as well be a 2nd round pick.

I saw an idea I think on ESPN that said Brogdon, Horford and picks sighting that the Celtics have all of their picks. If we could get that deal and the picks were the better of their pick and the Warriors pick in the upcoming draft (no protection besides the Warriors existing 1-4) and a future first 2029 or 30. Then if we could flip Brogdon to a team in need of guard depth for expirings and one more FRP or good forward prospect, then we would be set.

Frankly, I don't like Boston. Their picks aren't going to be worth that much.

    Tatum is 25
    Brown is 26

They're not going to be bad for a while. In 2028 Tatum will be 30

I personally really want to trade Jrue to Miami for their same shitty deal so that we can laugh at Heat fans that we still got their assets but Dame ended up in Milwaukee.

I have enough faith in Cronin that he wouldn't let that shit bother him. I don't have faith that Miami have enough assets to interest us.

You mean Jrue for Herro and 2 FRPs then we swing Herro to a 3rd team and get 1 FRP and 1 swap?
