I'm just wondering if a team like Boston would find him valuable since they have SUCH bad ball handling issues.
Actually like this idea. Brogdon has serious medical concerns. If he get healthy we give him 20 games to play with Scoot, show he recovered, then we flip him for another 1st. If he can't recover then we eat his contract but have 3 picks plus kuminga.
Not a bad idea because they really would want him more as an expiring, but he could be a backup for them.
Think Boston is way in the tax next year so getting out of Brogdon deal makes sense. Probably why their not likely for Jrue.
Lets say Brogdon recovers and we flip him for a 1st later. Think of the total Dame trade haul of picks; 1 MIL 2 GS 1 BOS 1 more So a total of 5 FRP and 2 unprotected swaps plus Ayton and Kuminga? Fuck you Miami with that bullshit lowball offer LMAO
Don’t think Celtics give up a 1st for CP3, otherwise a deal would’ve been done imo. Kuminga + Celtics filler + a 1st from Boston and GS is a great haul considering the Celtics filler like Brogdon could land another asset when he’s healthy.
Holiday cannot be traded to a team aggregated with other players from his team because 2 months have not passed since he was traded for. He can only be traded away to a team by himself and other non-player assets from his team (draft picks, cash considerations, etc). This restriction expires after Nov 26, 2023.
What is the chance Holiday is traded over the weekend? How often do trades even happen on the weekend?
Demarcus Cousins was traded to the Pelicans in the middle of the NBA All Star Game 6 years ago (which was taking place in NOLA)
If we do not trade Jrue by start of season, we will trade him after Nov 6 with another blazer or blazers to whatever cronin wants in return for them.
Trade Jrue to Brooklyn: Ben Simmons + (2) number 1 picks* [ristricted top 4]if Simmons is on the Blazer roster by the start of the 25-26 season and unrestricted if he is no longer a Blazer. *2027 PHX *2028 OWN
Here's another one. MIAMI -- All-Star forward Jimmy Butler is now a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, after the team and the Minnesota Timberwolves received approval from the league office Monday on the terms of the trade that was agreed to over the weekend.Nov 12, 2018
Any team that can offer 3 1sts instantly beats this deal for me. We already have Ayton to gamble on. Having three non-shooters on the court at the same time in Scoot Ben and Ayton is going to be some ugly basketball.
I think Scoot is gonna surprise people. Also Ayton is a really good mid range shooter. But I don’t think Simmons and Ayton would work well. I agree that we should really only take on one reclamation project.
Rumor has it that Robert Williams has a degenerative knee condition and has had lower back problems in the past... the dude is a ticking time bomb. He's on an obvious minutes restriction and he still can't stay right. So negative value there for me (loved his game when he was healthy). When I was listening to Woj he thought there were so many teams willing to give up two unprotected firsts that there would be at some point a team that would give up more than that. To me this is meh even if it had three FRPs just because Williams is making 36 million over the next three years.
