We'd be lucky to get Hendricks and a first.

    Boston
    Brogdon
    Williams III
    '24 GSW pick
    2-second round picks

    for
    Holiday

    Boston goes for a chip.

    Utah
    John Collins
    '26 Minny/Cleveland first

    for
    Brogdon

Utah gets a great guard to lead the young team into the playoffs

    Portland
    Holiday

    for
    John Collins
    Williams III
    '24 GSW pick
    '26 Minny/Cleveland first
    2-second round picks

Collins fills the PF spot & Williams is a great backup to Ayton. Leaves lots of flexibility when Grant is traded this winter

I would take Collins and Hendricks and no picks. I mean Hendricks was a lottery pick this year. Having said that I doubt they include him.

Let's say it was Collins and Olynyx and two 1sts vs. Pat Williams and Ball and 2 picks. (and a small filler)
Which one do you favor? In my mind, we are choosing between Collins (26) and Williams (22)
I would guess the consensus would be Williams.

I like getting a PF like Collins or Williams and a 1st or two, with that size (how bout that!) it gives us a big front line with versatility as Jerami can start at SF, we know Jerami can shoot the 3 as can Williams and Collins had a couple years where he shot 39/40%.. Collins just turned 26 a few days ago

    Agree with this.

Holiday's an all-star, an all-defensive team player, a player who put the Bucks over the top to get a ring.

Keegan Murray is a very good young player who might be close to his ceiling. I don't get the feel that he's ever a player that makes a team a championship team; he's more of the kind of player that is a solid starter. He's a guy that, if he's your fourth or fifth option, or maybe your third, you know you have a pretty good team, but if he's one of your top two you are mid and probably the same if he's your third, and I think he'll always be that -- Harrison Barnes-light.

Of course, that's beside the point. Holiday's value is that he's a player that can put team in a position to win a championship right now. He's proven he can be a top-two on a championship team. He can take over a game on either end of the court at times.

If a team sees a window to win it all over the next three years, a player like this being on the market is a godsend. The Bucks saw that and gave up a lot to get him and it got them a title. I don't think they're complaining about all the futures they sacrificed to acquire him. Right now, the NBA doesn't have an absolutely dominant team to beat. The gap between the Nuggets, Suns, Celtics, Sixers, Bucks isn't huge. The Pelicans probably think if Zion's healthy, they're in the conversation. The Heat have been to the finals with pretty much this lineup. The Grizz have a good young core that can beat any of those top teams on a given night or a couple of times in a week. That accentuates Holiday's value. That's why so many NBA analysts are saying he has this kind of value and so many NBA reporters are saying they are hearing this is what it's going to take to get him. If it was just this board saying Jrue had that value, yeah, we might be homers, but we're not the ones saying it. Everyone with cache and connections is saying it.

MIL numbers with Jrue on the floor vs. out are dramatic. He contributes in a multitude of ways in spite of not being a real 3 pt threat. Plus I hear many analysts say he is a first rate bloke. None of this Harden bs with Jrue.

Sorry guys, but I'm pretty tired of "flipping". Can we just trade for a good young forward and a draft pick or 2?

I have no use for Collins. Not fot for our team. Soft on defense and usually injury riddled. Hendricks though...

Yeah, I'd be interested assuming we could keep Hendricks and flip Collins for a few more assets, which might be possible if we are taking on bad salaries.

Hawks didn't receive much earlier this year because they were prioritizing straight cap space. If we could take some bad contracts, he might have the value of a protected first.

I don't understand why the Jazz would want to acquire Holiday at this point. He wouldn't make them contenders.

We need a young forward with some upside. Pat Williams seems to be the only one that fits that bill in any of the rumors I've heard. The Bulls have an older core, so acquiring Holiday makes more sense for them.

Hmm? Drummond, Ball and Willliams is too much but PWill and 2 unprotected picks is not?

Lonzo Ball is a net negative. Drummond only plays 12 minutes a game for them.

Yeah, I don't see the logic for Utah getting Jrue. They're in a better place than the Blazers are, but enough to trade for him thinking he'd put them over the top? Jrue on the Jazz isn't turning them into a title contender (and that's not a knock on Jrue, it's that Utah isn't a player away to justify trading away assets to take on Jrues contract).

Is he? I haven't seen him lately. His rebounding numbers look fantastic.
