I agree with this. No matter what...the goal should be the best forward we can get that can start for us. He has to clearly offer something we don't already have.
Also this for Jrue: 3 × NBA All-Defensive First Team (2018, 2021, 2023) 2 × NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2019, 2022) 2 × NBA All-Star (2013, 2023)
I just don’t understand through this entire process why Philly, Miami, Golden State and the Clippers aren’t more desperate. They have windows that are right now. They don’t have time to fuck around.
How about Jabari Smith Jr. in Houston ? Or Amen Thompson? Fred Van Vleet and Jrue in the backcourt could get them in the playoffs. (at least in their minds.) They have too many forwards. and they gave up a very good player with unprotected pick/swaps.
Then flip Zion to a young team for a young, talented forward that can actually play. Zion is probably more attractive to a young team than Jrue.
Sixers don’t do something big this year and Embiid is likely ask out. That would be catastrophic to them. Rebuild time.
JSJ would be an amazing get. It’d be funny to enter a rebuild with Scoot (#3), Shae (#7), DA (#1), and JSJ (#3)—you would’ve thought we had been rebuilding as long as the Pistons or Magic have been.
MIAMI is probably closer to trading Jimmy and rebuilding around Bam than adding Jrue and contending #onlyslightlycrazy
So with dame being introduced in Milwaukee today...how much longer do we have to trade jrue before we have to wait two months?
