here's ch. 6 Milwaukee live at Lillard party https://www.youtube.com/live/ibUuv8NiyAI?si=b0or-0i0dE84EDtK
they're wrapping caution tape around little kids, yelling at everyone to get off the road. It's no rally, Dame riot in progress !!
Never been to MKE, but spent at week in Madison. Fun college town. Surprisingly vibrant for the midwest. People seemed very friendly, kinda like what Portland used to be.
I like Madison too. There are some other small, vibrant midwest college towns. Linoln, NE is surprisingly fun (once you get to it, after driving for a long while in Nebraska corn country). It's often the bigger cities that I find kind of meh. Last time I was in Milwaukee was a long time ago and it fit in the meh category, but maybe it is more interesting nowadays. Last year I had to spend some time in Des Moines, IA and it was a lot nicer than what I remembered it.
after almost a decade in Indy, i can tell you first hand these "bigger cities" in the midwest have 0 charm. All strip malls and chain stores/restaurants.
I don't know how much more a group of fans/city could welcome a guy. Happy for him, but it still hurts a bit. Wait til they see their first logo-Lillard, they will go absolutely crazy.
lol i thought there was gonna be a speech or something. Very business like vibes. No grabbing the mic and yelling RIPCITY. this is gonna be 4 yrs there and he's gonna head back to his hometown in PDX to put a bow on that career.
