I thought something was missing from the Zdzisław Beksińsk pictures above, they did not have the normal nightmare / hellscape vibe I was looking for, so I updated my query.
Yes, but I guess you have to look at it as another tool. I think people that will have an issue with it is maybe graphic designers for advertisements - the starving artist market that create physical stuff they sell on Etsy is not going to change much, imho.
These are pretty cool. One can see artists income taking a massive hit if AI can do it in a few keystrokes though.
I think the problem is to get the precise output you want. It is fine if you do not care how the AI interprets it. The real issue for artists might be if you can feed the ai subject specific stuff - we have seen, for example, that it does not know Scoot Henderson yet. I imagine that in 3-4 years it might know how to answer to that properly. But, if the subject is not something that is well known (a portrait of your grandparents for example) - unless there is a way to easily teach the AI model who they are and how the look so it can learn how to create stuff based on it - this is not a proper replacement for human creators.
These are awesome! I saw a headline that cracked me up this morning. "Before we develop artificial intelligence how about we try to fix natural stupidity!"
