I just get a lot less ads - no in-depth analysis.

It's frustrating because the Blazers don't even control this situation (though I refuse to think they are totally blameless) but instead it's the Mariners that own 71% of ROOT and could very well have a say in the matter, but they too are another organization that can't get out of their own way when it comes to being hit with PR nightmares. They could probably give two shits though as their season is over and by the time next spring rolls around, fans will have made their choice on the situation. There is no way it's a coincidence that this change is coming right as their season finishes and the Blazers/Kraken start up.

Yes, by default Brave may serve less ads. If you run Ublock Origin on both it should make them about equal.

    Brave is good. Real good.

I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus...no ads, although every once in a while I have to turn off the app to get a page to load. Easy peasy

How is Fubo TV? Anyone have decent experience with it, or is it a waste of time?

I have it and I love it. Definitely the best streaming service if you want a lot of options with sports watching. I think the $75 package includes ROOT sports

Any idea about how many screens can be used at a time?

It's certainly how I became a fan as a child. I didn't have anyone in the home interested in sports, but that 89/90 season I got sucked in. Luckily it was at the start of the season so I got to enjoy the entire ride that year. My first year watching basketball and what excitement. All thanks to public access. I don't know how many kids watch TV these days, so maybe it wouldn't matter in that regard. I just like the idea.

89/90 was my first season. I became the fan I am now because we happened to catch a KGW broadcast of a Blazers/Lakers game that went double overtime. I know the world is different now (streaming is dominant etc) but being able to have easy access to the games is how you get new fans! It’s not entirely a product; it’s also a service for the greater cultural good.

You can get NBA league pass, ESPN, plus Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max for less than cable.

Thanks for that - I just switched from Hulu to Direct TV Stream for an extra $20 a month and now I get NBA tv. Root sports and more plus all the same channels as Hulu.

You just have to pay the early termination fee.
