Diamondbacks up 2-0 on the dodgers! Hell yeah! Fuck the dodgers.

Arizona is a good team to root for since we have a hometown connection with them. Something like 8-9 former hops on this team!

the TV announcers sounded bummed out. They had all the great Dodger stuff cue cards lined up, but they never got to use hardly any of them.

for instance, a tubby LA hitter got a harmless bloop single off the handle in the 6th, and "only the terrific upper body strength of that Dodger" allowed such an incredible feat of baseball for viewers to witness.

I also noticed Dodger hitters getting walks was "outstanding plate discipline." D-Back hitters getting walks... the announcers changed the subject.

LOL, depressed announcers are the worst. I hope Arizona wins the World Series just to piss off ESPN. Full Nuggets mode. If it's not Boston, Chicago, NYC or LA, then we'll just talk about golf or something.

Arizona and Twins in the WS would be my preference too. After how the season ended for the M's though, I'm ready for basketball!

Nope--gonna be my Braves and Adley's Orioles after they stage a fantastic back-door sweep over the next four games with the Rangers.

Its funny because Corbin Carrol is turning into a superstar and I have a very distinct memory of watching him at bat with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Dude struck out and I was like "this guy is a top prospect" nad I laughed at how stupid I sounded. Dude is fucking legit and it was fun to watch him in Hillsboro a few times.

So fuck ESPN, hopefully Carroll takes them to the end and wins it all. Just gotta have braves lose so they have a shot. Philly will be Atlanta's toughest test so I'm hoping.

It’s kind of like soccer. People complain about not enough goals. 4 HR inning is like a few goals in a half. 0-0 draws are boring to watch, but a game with only 5 hits in 9 innings is way worse than a 0-0 draw. Talk about a waste of time!

    Baseball is boring

Costas buddy was so disheartened about Los Angeles losing, he mumbled out "the Dodgers can tie this game with 1 pitch swing."

    that makes absolutely no sense

I think he meant '1 big swing', but you could tell the TBS announcer was almost crying.

    oh boohoo... L.A. SUCKS

All eyes on ATL-PHI for the next few days. 75 years ago, the Braves were "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain." Hopefully this year's edition can be "Spencer and Fried are all that we need"--although a little run support would certainly go a long way...

I did not anticipate Philly winning that series.

I'm in the "Anyone Other than Houston" camp and I really don't think the Rangers are going to take them down (too hot and cold) and no way Arizona can beat the Astros, so gotta root on Philly!
