That’s just it. It shouldn’t have been so difficult for Lillard to have the success he did here. It wasn’t his fault, and it’s not our fault as fans. I’m glad he’s finding success, and I hope we find similar success someday.
this is like a band breaking up and then a year later, all the members except one reform as a new band. Specifically, this is like being that one guy.
Looking back yes Dame had some great individual heroics and offensive stats, but his teams performed poorly because of lack of overall talent (not his fault) sure would be nice if Blazers would bring in a top notch defensive coordinator
Billups’s area of expertise was supposed to be placating Dame, but we saw how well that went. I don’t know if Billups is invested or qualified, but right now the stakes are so low it doesn’t much matter.
I will admit I didn’t watch last season but I noticed this season our (NBA) opponents have hit 95 point before the end of the third quarter like every time so… if he was advertised as a defensive mind, I guess he isn’t minding right now.
Dame flat out stunk against OKC tonight...last I checked he was 0-5 from 3 and 20% from the floor for 4pts. Not many boards or dimes either. Made Kris Murray look like an allstar.
Dan LeBetard voice: “What’s so great about Dame is he did all this in only 25 minutes, now that’s veteran savvy right there!” Pat C outperformed him in every category tonight
Miami is bitter enemies with Milwaukee. Every time Lillard has an off night, the Heat podcasters will go nuts raving about Dame getting traded to the Bucks. It's outta our hands now. Cronin made a fair deal to everyone involved.
...at some point this season it might be the most intriguing storyline to follow for us Blazers fans that are feeling a bit of Dame nostalgia
I tuned out after it was 83-73 OKC and Lillard looked completely out of sync the whole time I watched. Chet swatted his jumper like it was a whiffle ball.
So is this what we have to look forward to? Dame has a bad 1/4 or game and everybody cracks on him and posts how much better we are without him? We are worse off with out him currently, but our future looks brighter than it did a month ago. Move along.
Dame will be fine in MIL. His personal life is probably on his mind quite a bit too...she wants full custody, twas on the news.
Forward to? It's in the past bro...he stunk up the joint tonight and as long as the Dame threads rival the Melo thread, I'd think you'd probably be locking the Melo thread by now Mr "Move on! The Bucks are fair "smack talk" game this season. So are the ....wait....you guessed it...LAKERS!
How do I describe Dame's game vs OKC? Hmmm. . Let's just say, Scoot's game vs Phoenix last night was better
