Yes, that's precisely the same level of hypothetical.

They would probably want Grant since they have some backup PGs already like Alvarado and Hawkins.

So was Oden. Zion is going to be used up before he gets his head right, IMO.

With Dame here Zion would have had guidance.

Actually, I think New Orleans would do a Grant/Scoot for Zion. I think that is a good deal for them.
It is really difficult to know if we should though .......without knowing Zion on a personal level....and doing a physical.
There is a lot more to evaluate than just what we as fans see on the court.

Here's the only remotely plausible Scoot-Zion trade:

    (stress on "remotely")

Plausible for who? Certainly not the Blazers. Why would we offer Ayton over Grant (who plays the same position as Zion)
Plus New Orleans likes Valanciunas, I think Grant fits better with New Orleans

Plausible for comparable value purposes. No way in hell New Orleans would consider Grant. And Ayton is a more mobile defender than Zion, so if you can play Zion next to Valanciunas, then you can play Ayton. Ayton is effectively a PF given his lack of back-to-the-basket game anyway.

The upside is he can play at MVP level and win championships. He’s that good.

No I wouldn’t trade anybody for Zion or Simmons. Especially not Scoot. I still think he is going to be really good.

That hasn't exactly panned out though....I've yet to see any MVP polls for Zion in his NBA career.

That Mays guy looked better in his debut than Scoot did in his so I would trade him for Zion.

Try to find any in the last couple of years. That's like proving that Ben Simmons can shoot free throws by posting clips from his rookie year.
