I hate to admit it, but right now, I just don't care.

I have nobody on the team that makes me care.

Trade 'em. Trade 'em all. Don't care.

    • Ant - been wanting to trade him for years
    • Grant - Just trade him, please - that was Meyers Leonard style bad signing
    • Sharpe - Not sure if he is not being used correctly but not really seeing the growth I'd hoped. Rare flash yes but real progress? Nope.
    • Scoot - Lots of hype and seeing some improvement but still pretty meh on the guy. Nothing I've seen says "I'm a 3rd pick!" - more like "I'm a 23rd pick who is doing sufficient but at least you didn't waste a 3rd pick on me". Hate to say it but starting to think Telfair 2.0? Lots of hype but rarely showing the goods?
Yes, I know, both Sharpe & Scoot are young, quite young and have time to improve.

Thing is, in general with star players, you see it occasionally even when they are young and the consistency improves.

Don't get me started on Billups. Perhaps under a different coach I'd care but when I see (or don't see as the case may be) anything resembling an offensive scheme, holding players accountable for playing so-called Billups ball, I just want him gone.

I'm not saying we'd be a good team with a different coach, we'd very likely still suck but perhaps we'd see some progress in the players and be a team that is a bit more enjoyable to watch.

I have vibes of the the good 'ol days with great players like Sergei Monia, Sebastian Telfair, Ha Seung-Jin, Jarrett Jack and Juan Dixon.

    I just don't care.

It's okay. They will be the Seattle Trail Blazers soon.

Confirms what we all know. Portland is bad and Chauncey ain't helping.

Nope, will keep doing the predictions game. Just have a lot less interest in watching/following the Blazers. I don't know if they could do better at promoting apathy if they tried.

Example #1 why a 5 year rebuild can gut a fan base.

I’ve been through several rebuilds. It’s tough. But I always look at it as making the championship that much sweeter. My big thing is I want new ownership. Fuck Jody Allen and Kolde, like seriously. A new owner would bring new energy.

We got the best fan base in the NBA it’s just trying times right now

At this point I'd bring back Stotts. At least we'd have a semblance of offense. Defense might suck but it is doing that already.

I mean, I don’t think Billups is amazing, I don’t even think he’s good, or above average. But the real problem lies within our roster. And when we got rid of Lillard we kind of designated the team to sucking for awhile. I’d like us to get rid of the 3 guys who obviously don’t belong in the timeline. But that’s being said if you have faith in Cronin, which personally I don’t.

Our best bet to turn this around is trading those guys for picks or young players and hoping either Cronin or his predecessor nail the draft.

Luckily, Simon’s and Grant’s ISO ball is expediting the process of the rebuild with how badly they bog down the offense.

imagine if Dame stuck around, with Cronin & Billups telling fans how excited they are about building a contender around Lillard. Unfortunately the injury bug has preventing this squad from reaching optimal performances.

oh wait... that was last season. My bad

That is your number one priority? I guess if we could find another multi-billionaire to buy and keep the team in Portland then I would be on board. But I think Jody and Kolde stay out of the way for the most part. Having some rich guy who knows little about basketball, but who might want to be more involved with player personal decisions, can backfire as well........if we could even find someone besides the often-mentioned 86-year shoe dog. Again it can't be just a billionaire, it has to be a multi-billionaire who is not in it for the money. How many are there on that list?

I imagine players are starting not to care as well. It's human nature to get discouraged when it's the same shit day after day. Can you really expect these guys to keep up the pollyanna "we got this one" bullshit? Chauncey is a losing coach. He is a "loser". That is all he knows. Losing and tanking. He will never be the coach to get this team to 500 ball. No accountability. No creativity. Just ISO offense away the games and pick up your check. Tom Havastat pushes some BS line about some incredible stat re. the blazers. FUCK OFF. At this point, the team has no positives. ZERO. Players ain't developing shit when you go down by 20 repeatedly in the first quarter except a losing mentality.

What do you think tonight's pregame cheer will be? "Ant and Grant ISO on three!!!"

Knight would be purchasing the team for his level headed kid. And yes, I’d rather have a well rounded son of a billionaire making decisions than an heir of a billionaire who happened to take charge because they were the last resort and executive of a will.

It’s always been understood that Uncle Phil is the money behind the ownership effort. Smolinisky is the brains

For a reference point, look at what Will Hardy and the Jazz have been up to. There is simply no reason why POR can be doing half of what the Jazz are doing since the tourney.

I noticed Portland hired bots who fake being a fan of opposing teams. "We went through a rebuild too. Your team has very exciting young players. Your coach is doing an excellent job developing the team. Stay the course, everything will be fine, just be patient".

.... fans don't say stuff like that, there's no mercy in the NBA community. The more polite fans will talk about how well their team played, but they do not slobber over a Blazer team that just lost by 30,40,62
