I thought I was all prepared for snow and ice because I still had a 20 pound bag of ice melt left from last year. Until this year I never knew it could get too cold for ice melt to work. My neighbors have had the same experience. Bizarre......
...the snow over here is so cold and dry that you can push broom right thru it down to the bare dry pavement! It's wild.
Was just going to wait it out and did not bother to put the studded tires on a car. Put them on this morning to get out for a bit. Far fewer cashiers at the store but not as many shoppers either.

Finally got our power back last night. Internet still out and CenturyLink wants to charge me $100 to come fix it.....and can't until Jan 27th.
