That’s not to say Scoot can’t or won’t turn it around - just that’ll be a pretty unprecedented leap that he will have to make.
Damn. Anti-Scooters are almost as dumb as Trumpers. I ain’t even know if Scoot will be dumb but you so stuck in that rut so hard, you running as hard for dumbest people I have ever read. I’d like to see the correlation. Just BTW. Someone run that poll.
I’m not even…. I don’t even care…. Scoot might be a bust. I don’t care. That some of you folks are writing him off today…. see my earlier post about PG’s like Nash, Kidd, etc. Just so ignorant and dumb. But you folks keep proving ya self as much…
Steve Nash didn’t average double-digit points until his age-26 season. RW shot just under .400 as a rookie at 20. Jason Kidd entered the L at 21 and still shot 38.5%. all 3 will be hof pg’s and I’d take whatever any of them did as a replica of Scoot’s career.
That sentence says "to become" an all-star, which means, in the future, not his rookie year. Maybe if your mom had ordered you those Fraggle Rock books you wanted, your reading comprehension would be better.
Go back to the pre-draft thread and take a look. (And I didn’t mean all-star this season) Also, in general, when you’re drafting in the top 3-5… you’re looking for stars… not role players
Were any of them as bad as Scoot has been so far as a rookie? Like I said, he may become an all-star or all-nba player … but it’ll be a pretty unprecedented jump.
Why? I didn’t say Scoot is a bust. Can you show me someone who has been as bad as Scoot that turned out to be an all-star or all-nba player? And I didn’t say close to as bad. I’m talking worst player in the league, 7.1 PER bad.
Russ had a 15 PER as a rookie. Kidd 15 as well. Nash was 10, although his rookie year he averaged 10mpg and 3 shots per game. Scoot? 7.1 so far. Sebastian Telfair had a 9.6 PER as a rookie, just so ya know.
Very few people are writing him off today. I think more people, perhaps with valid reason due to his play, are expressing some concerns.
Very real possibility Scoot never sniffs an All Star team. Certainly wouldn't surprise me at all. Right now I just want him to be a good starting PG.
he's got the perfect mindset and the struggles will humble him. and apparently all indications are that he has a maniacal work ethic. i can't wait for him to get more reps after the deadline to get film in different scenarios. give him one summer with NBA trainers.
Boy's fast. And thick. And strong. Wait till he gets the "feel" down and can use those attributes as he is coming in hot. When he does, he's damn near unstoppable. Experience and support. That is all he needs over the next two years.
you quoted my post but clearly didn’t read or understand it. got it. it would not be all that unprecedented.
