Brogdon trade to Detroit for Joe Harris + Danilo Gallinari is confirmed.... Because if Malcom is still on the roster by Friday, then Joe and anyone who supports him are "idiots".

Averaging 5 and a half assists per game as a SG is pretty good. Ant is not a bad passer.

less than 72 hours to the deadline

my memory is kind of fuzzy so maybe I'm wrong about this, but is sure seems this trade deadline is completely dead when it comes to any believable rumors. Maybe it's a calm before the storm but I'm kind of thinking there will just be calm and no storm

We have already seen a few deals and do not feel like any of them were an overpay. Might be a quiet deadline.

For what it's worth, Cronin was at the Remix game Friday. He was not on his phone much.

The teams that would want upgrades don't have anything to trade. I don't expect much movement this deadline.

I don't understand this. Do they really think Brogdon will have more value this summer?

And the answer to "why" is not really that complicated. Scoot and Sharpe should not be sitting on the bench in a season when we will win 25 games.

I don't think Detroit got what they were asking for at the deadline for Jerami Grant. Wasn't it something like Josh Hart and a 1st round pick? I suppose it's all rumors.

But in the end it was the 2025 Milwaukee pick (and anything else?).

I would rather them trade Malcolm as well, but I don't want them to give him away for seconds if that's all they can get. And it's totally reasonable for them not to value a late 24 1st and see if they can get more stuff in the off-season. All the contenders that currently have nothing to trade will all have a 1st round pick open up - not to mention how much easier it is to make trades when you can carry 20 players on a roster.

And while I'd rather Scoot and Shaedon be playing - I don't think them playing 5 less MPG is going to hurt their development. There are just as many cases of guys developing into good players after spending time on the bench versus getting thrown into the fire for 35+MPG. I just don't believe that. Scoot is averaging 27 MPG and Sharpe 33 MPG, and we know all three of them (including Brogdon) will miss games down the stretch for various reasons.

Yes. They are saying there will be more opportunities for trades in the summer. As far as Scoot and Shaedon go, Scoot has been learning and improving his game just fine coming off the bench. I think it’s a foregone conclusion he’s going to start next season. Shaedon can’t stay healthy this season, but when he has been, he’s started and gotten his minutes. Keeping Brogdon doesn’t change that.

Seems weird that Brogdon was in the same draft class as Ben Simmons. He was 24 year old rookie.

The way things are starting to sound around the draft conversations is the Blazers should be going after picks in the 2025 and 2026 draft classes.

No. There was never an offer with Hart included...
    That was the asking price.

    The asking price came down.

I think the argument that Brogdon will have more value this summer is bullshit. I don't even find it very credible his value will remain the same. I don't believe it

I also will need convincing there are more trades in the summer than at the deadline

and Marang's argument sure seems to hinge on the false idea that 2024 first's is all that will be available for Brogdon this week
