I was once kind of intrigued by him for being so tall for a point guard. another project I guess?

So essentially Boston was going to waive Banton and they did Cronin a favor by letting us pick him up first?

Sometimes, the best deal is one you don't make. I think I've seen enough of Cronin's recent deals to have a little faith that he didn't have a deal that would have benefitted us and passed on it.

lol yourself...aren't you the one who has said what Hield was traded for was obviously what was offered from Brogdon? You're just guessing about that....like I'm guessing other 1st's would have been available for the right price. Whether Brogdon was that price I don't know...neither do you

Banton and Sharpe are from Ontario, so he's being brought in to sit next to Sharpe in the 3rd row and wave the mapleleaf flag.

I didn't see a single guard traded for a first. What are you arguing exactly? That Portland may or may not have been able to get a first (who knows what quality) for Brogdon? And this is upsetting?

They're going to drag this Duop decision out for as long as they can aren't they? The later Duop gets that deal the more money we save, right?

"We like the guys we have on the team, our young players need veteran leadership and the vets we have are great leaders. I'm really happy with the direction we're headed." As all of us wonder what direction that is and if he's asked what direction we're headed all we'll hear is a bunch of word salad.

the lack of direction from this franchise is baffling. whatever. as i said after the sharpe news this week... "i'm numb to it all." Just apathy.

I'm fairly sure I said exactly what I meant to say

I don't like the direction of the team, the quality of ownership, and have plenty of doubts about management. But I anticipated that Portland wouldn't do anything noteworthy this week and predicted it 3 weeks ago

I have seen enough of Joe's inactivity to watch it drive Dame out the door. Read too many times that people that post in this forum are sure Joe didn't have a deal to be made. That story gets pretty damn old and less believable every time it's told.

The guy is incredibly timid as a GM and I don't know if we can afford timidity during a rebuild. He's just too damn safe. No risks taken, not even close to one in his tenure. What are the results? A team that will either be tanking for the third straight season with veteran talent on the roster or a team that will win meaningless games that give us less options during the draft.

Surely more opportunities in the off season to acquire picks/players via trades. Besides that when we move Simons and some.

So what trade was Joe supposed to make, that he didn't?
