Unfortunately, when a country is invaded they have to make draconian decisions. And everyone in the country suffers.

    Prisoners often suffer even more.

It sucks. If Russia weren't invading Ukraine this guy might still be alive.

War sucks. Russia should stop invading Ukraine.

Well, I think it was posted very soon after, so I don't think it had been officially confirmed yet.

Yahoo is just hosting the Ukrainian article. Again, that is just another prospective on his background.

I just read what phatg wrote, and it makes perfect sense. It is your response that is trash.

No one hates war more than me. But there comes a time when bad people must go. I will support Ukraine's fight against Russia, until the day Ukraine plants Putin's dick in the dirt.

Countries which are invaded have to use all of their resources to defend against the invasion. That removes resources which would otherwise be used to care for prisoners.

This can result in dangerous living conditions for prisoners.

I'm not sure what part you took issue with.

Do you have even the slightest proof that this is true? And if he wasn't given the best care, could it be because the best doctors are working near the front to save civilians and soldiers injured by the invasion and indiscriminate bombing orderd by your hero Putin?

You are completely ignoring the overarching fact, which is an American journalist was jailed by a dictator we are funding for engaging in journalism. You dont have to care, you clearly don’t. But this charade of defending it, or pretending Ukraine isn’t run by a corrupt third world regime is nuts.

Final total on the Adiivika battle, from the start.

Russia kicked Ukraines ass, gaining a whopping 00.01% of Ukraines land.

Gaining the now worthless land cost Russia:

    224 tanks
    359 armoured fighting vehicles
    20,000 casualties, aprox.
Plus other stuff like artillery and a bunch of trucks.

    Good job Russia.

I do not believe in starting wars.

However, whenever forced into a war, I believe in winning it, as quickly as possible.

Just because you call something a fact doesn't make it so. Zelensjy was elected in an election no one disputes. Ukraine is no more corrupt than USA. But they actually have agencies whose sole purpose is to root out corruption. Did you know that every government official, elected or appointed, in Ukraine, must declare his income and all assets? It's all public record. USA has many people on the ground monitoring our aid and have found no misuse.
A guy who monitors Kremlin talking points on Telegram says their top point in response to Navalny murder was "Gonzalo Lira" Is it just a coincidence that your talking points coincide with the Kremlin's? And you can call that a tired old response all you want, but it's what I see with my own eyes.

Canceling elections, outlawing dissenting views, banning orthodox religion, imprisoning and killing journalists, laundering money, etc. At least i can confidently say i dont support a corrupt country like Russia, despite your childish McCarthyite smears and talking points of “you love Putin”. You can’t say the same for your corrupt dictatorship of choice. You defend all the things I listed above by completely ignoring them and attacking the messengers.

Never go into a war, or battle, without a plan that will end it.

And, politicians should only be involved to the point of telling the military what the end goal is. And what can be used in the fight, but not how to fight.

That was a win for the military industrial complex. They had 20 years to figure out an exit strategy and they never bothered to do it. Afghans actually preferred the Taliban to the corrupt American occupiers.

And pretending that your own country wasn't run by a corrupt third world regime from 2016 through 2020 is even more nuts. Why are you so worried about funding a foreign third world regime while having no problem funding one at home? You fixate on the Ukraine while giving a corrupt, dysfunctional, incompetent (American) Republican Congress a pass. But I'm sure you'll find a way to rationalize or deflect. And please don't use the "red herring" red herring. It's all very much of a piece whether you can see that or not.

Resistance libs throwing up the Ukraine flag which isn't even a drop in the bucket to what's happening across Palestine are mum when it comes to that conflict and any other that includes people who don't look like them.

    Yemen was an afterthought too.

You gotta get Donnie out of your head man, it’s not healthy. Somehow tying EVERY issue back to maga or Trump is getting really nonsensical.

Interesting take. So what you're saying is that YOU oppose aid to the Ukraine because they don't look like YOU, but you support the Palestinians (or Yemenis) because they DO look like you?? Speaking for myself, I support aid to the Ukraine because I have a strong basic understanding of that particular conflict. I DO NOT have a good understanding of the conflict in Palestine, so I work to withhold my uninformed opinions. The "little people" on either side of the conflict aside, it appears to me a shitload of bad actors on both sides fucking things up for everyone else. But like everywhere else, the actual truth is always the first casualty.
