Saw something that said Crosby told Dubas not to send Guentzel here even though we had as good or better a deal.

Roslovic has the chance to be this year’s Vatrano from 2022, decent player that can move and fits in well with Mika and Kreider. Mid round pick. Could be a good find.

But the frustrating thing is he was secondary to Copp. We didnt get a Copp this year (and I say that liking Wennberg a lot).

Two very good role players for good prices and we still have our prospects. But not sure we have enough firepower for the spring run.

He's an absolute disgrace. And again, has literally no plan. Why waste ANY assets when you aren't going to really improve the team to actually win? That is a moronic waste. Unlike some in here I would expect a team in 1st place ALL SEASON, and top 5 in the NHL ALL SEASON to actually try and improve to win, but others feel like they should play for tomorrow for 545198498417841848n years without ever trying to win. And worst of all is Drury does NEITHER, and instead goes halfa** and wastes assets why not improving the team to actually win. Joke.

Last time I checked the cup is not won at the TDL. At least we got to keep our first and all the prospects. Carolina and Florida will have all the pressure on them.

We don’t. It essentially the same group that went out in round one last year.

As for those complaining about Vegas, or TB who has done it also, yes, it is a joke, but good for them for taking advantage of a joke rule. Maybe we should do that also, but that would be a plan, and Drury doesn't know what that is.

He had MONTHS to get something done, and did sh*t. Sure Seattle, we'll give you extra to retain 50% on Wennberg, we won't use that savings to actually improve the team, but why not do it anyway. Throws away picks for nothing.

You just want to get all Patrick Kanes out there available and see if it pans out

I guess Wennberg and Roslovic have familiarly together so maybe that clicks a little, plus it bumps some of the crap out of the lineup.

No I don't, I want my GM to actually make moves to improve a team that has been at the top of the NHL all season, not half a** it.

This is a Rangers board so we'll all pretend, hey you never know, maybe they don't have enough firepower, whatever else we tell ourselves. Bottom line is this team has ZERO chance to make a long run this season. We punted on that today with our useless no plan in over his head Pres/GM.

Good news, we have the 25th pick in a weak draft though and kept some whatever bottom 6 prospects (we were never trading Othmann and Perreualt which I agree with).

    Disgrace!!!

We still have a solid team, they can do well in the playoffs if Igor is on top of his game. If he's not, they are toast no matter who they would add at the deadline.

It is very deflating to have your team sit in 1st place all season, sit near the top of the NHL all season, have clear needs, especially after injuries, have cap space, and essentially do nothing to actually go for it as the other teams all improve. I am sure some of the guys in that room feel that way also, of course they will never say it. Just go through the motions now, done in round 1 or maybe round 2 if they squeeze through round 1.

But hey, there is always next year, and the 25th pick. Oh, and Goodrow will be here still also. Is $3.6M for 1 goal good value...not sure.

Uhhhh…no. By sitting around while other teams get better it’s greatly lessens your chances of winning. Common sense isn’t so common.

So, you added crap, and threw away assets for very little, but who sits now? Is Brod out of the lineup? Do Rempe and Edstrom sit? We know it won't be Goodrow. That's the other funny part, people have taken to Edstrom, and especially Rempe, but now they'll sit for little upgrades to whatever players. And on D just threw away a 4th round pick for a scrub, who I guess will be the 7th dman, biggest move of the day. It just doesn't make sense, unless you have no plan that is.

Glaring weaknesses on this team were in the defensive zone and faceoff circle. We didn’t address those needs. We added a 3rd line center who bumps Brodzinski down, but that didn’t improve faceoffs. We signed a depth dman that likely won’t even play. Once again, we have a team that’s a few pieces away but instead of going all in to try to win, we are concerned about 3-6 years from now. Either we are going to always be a rebuilding team or we have to put all our chips in the middle and play the game. Can’t be this half assed shit where we are stuck in between. Stuck in between teams never win.

I know many in here are disappointed but one clear positive will be hearing Sam's first stab at saying Chad Ruhwedel's last name

Very well said, spot on, ESPECIALLY your last comment about half a** BS, and teams in between never win. And I would probably tell you we really aren't even focused on 3-6 years from now. Kept the 25th +/- pick in the draft, not great odds that becomes anything more than a bottom 6 player at best, we did trade four picks away (why exactly for not even trying to win), and yes, the one thing we did I agree with is keep Othmann and Perreault. So, I am not even sure we were focused on 3-6 years from now trading away four picks for crap. NO PLAN!!!
