I've always had a difficult time differentiating between the posts where the OP actually believes what they said despite being way over the top and the ones that are unseriously hyperbolic and scarcastic. I'm still unsure if the Rupert playing time threads are serious or a really well played joke!

it's no big deal Tince...I was just giving you some shit for crediting Ant for a rather weak attempt to contest a slam-dunk he essentially gifted the Houston player in the first place

I thought I didn't need to green font the "dumbest 43 seconds" sarcasm

Simons had a vicious lefty jam on Rudy Gobert a few nights ago. Ant can give as good as he gets. But after last night's in the face tomahawk, Ant went 0-4 and even missed a pair of FT's.

i still question the 1-4 flat offense Billups employs. The Rockets took advantage of leaving Anfernee as lone defender in transition. Houston doubled up the Blazers in fast break 37-18.

That was a joke post? Man. That fell way flat. It didn't read as a joke post at all.

It generally feels like he's the target of every offense. They actively switch to get him on a lone island. Not good.

Simons getting scored on is going to happen. But occasionally Ant will get some stops. What annoys me with some Billups defensive schemes, is they'll zip a defender over to double team the guy Simons is guarding. Then we get to watch the opponents pass the ball around until they find a wide open shooter. Or they shove Anfernee in a strange looking zone "do something" role, and Simons gets cooked because he doesn't know who he's supposed to guard.

I say let Anfernee earn his keep. Straight man to man coverage, simple switches, let the chips fall where they may
