I think you are probably just underestimating the number of people who lack a moral compass.

Can you please educate me in how my comment was blackmail? You may be upset with Biden and I get your position about that, fair enough. But this is an American election, not a parliamentary one so we get two choices which was my point. It's democracy, and that's how things work in this democracy. You get two choices, and in this case you can choose the one you align with and have some strong disagreements with, or you can not participate which hurts that candidate and you get the other one that you likely strongly disagree with on everything. It's binary. It sucks, I agree, but that's how Democrats lost in 2000 and 2016, people thought voting for Ralph Nader and Jill Stein were better than voting for Al Gore and Hillary Clinton. That sure worked out great for those people and they magically got policy enacted that aligned with their interests. Oh wait, no, they got the exact opposite because that's how American democracy works.

Also Bernie fans weren't blackmailed in 2016, that is such a tired old narrative that just needs to die. I donated to Bernie's campaign, and would have preferred him to Clinton. But during the general I happily voted for Clinton because I put my feelings aside and voted for the candidate that aligned with me more often than not. Was Clinton my favorite? No not at all, but the reality is that we're in America and we get two choices, and the other choice was Donald fucking Trump. It's not blackmail, it's just how it works.

You can choose the third route of embracing burning it all down. But for those of us who have any sense and historical understanding know that the reality is Donald Trump will be the one with holding the flame thrower.

I remember when my mother blackmailed me by advising me not to touch a hot stove.

In our democracy, we only get to vote between 2 options.

Russia is voting today, and in their democracy, they get 3 options.

    1) vote for Putin
    2) vote for Putin, twice
    3) "jump" out of a window

I REFUSE to be blackmailed. Even though mom is long since dead, I continue to touch a hot stove every chance I get.

I hope she's sorry now for trying to manipulate me.

Lying isn’t illegal in most cases. Just ask the politicians who wrote this bill.

So anything that isn’t “protected” is subject to government censorship? I didn’t realize the government was who we needed to protect our free speech from.
