I'm sorry...I'm not going to pay attention to the excuses for Graves any more or the excuses for no response by the AD a couple of months ago I mentioned that I heard Graves was going to lose some of his best players from this year's team and you seemed skeptical. Today both Van Slooten and Gray announced they were leaving, and Basham announced yesterday. I've heard the exodus isn't over.
Huh? What excuses were in my post? I simply pointed out a commonality between the 5 coaches on the list that I found surprising. I will lose zero sleep if Graves is fired.
this little video, and the things said, is totally hilarious and ironic considering that the person speaking entered the transfer portal today
Oregon football defensive back Daylen Austin arrested in connection with fatal hit and run in Eugene https://abcnews.go.com/US/universit...daylen-austin-arrested-hit/story?id=109374378
few days old news turning into a complicated case because the victim was found with a cut throat and a hammer and reportedly was in an altercation with somebody besides Austin. Austin, allegedly, feared for his life. Whether that's true or not is unknown but it's probably wise to defer judgement Austin was charged with whatever the legal term for hit & run is and it's a felony charge because there was a fatality
Right on point, imo. https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/...tment-if-beavers-want-to-remain-relevant.html Do some Pokey Allen marketing. Have fun with it then go kick ass against MW. Im a staunch quacker but have daughter and son in law and friends that are beavs and they agree with this article.
for almost a year now OSU has been drowning in an ocean of self-pity from that article: "I get that the Beavers’ entire identity is being the blue-collar alternative to the marketing machine that is Oregon. In Corvallis, the work speaks for itself. But where has that gotten them up to this precise moment?" for a couple of decades, OSU alums and fans ridiculed and dismissed UofO's campaign to create a national brand. "They're just style, we're substance". and with every Oregon success came the usual Beav excuse of "they'd be just like us without Phil Knight!" But here's a fact: in the decade prior to Phil Knight investing his first dollar in UofO infrastructure, the Duck football team had been to 7 bowl games including a Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Meanwhile, in the same decade the Beavs never went bowling and instead compiled a 26-84 record. The Ducks were doing what OSU couldn't do, and doing it without Phil Knight's money. But try and convince a die-hard Beav of that...good luck the nadir of this self pity was that ridiculous spectacle last fall when OSU managed to convince the state legislature to hold an emergency session. OSU's president and AD showed up and spent the entire time blasting the UofO for not having the loyalty to stay on the sinking ship with OSU. They blamed the UofO for the collapse of the Pac-12 and the end of OSU's unearned gravy train of Pac-12 revenue. They said the UofO should either be forced to abandon the Big-10 or be responsible for plugging the 40M hole in OSU's budget. The OSU president even suggested the legislature might consider forcing the UofO to fund OSU's athletic scholarship budget for a few years. It was fucking insane that they were so sunk into self-pity and blinded by their hate of the UofO that they couldn't understand how idiotic their complaints and suggestions were I have long been out of sympathy for OSU's situation. This is a hole they were responsible for digging and they've had the shovels in their hands for decades.
I for one have never heard anyone say or express anything close to that sentiment. You're incessant hatred for the Beavers and their fans and your constant diatribes on the subject is downright bizarre, even for the world of sports fanatics. I worry for your mental health.
I've heard it from a bunch of Beaver fans that I know, and I've heard it for years. And it has been a constant and incessant refrain in Beaver message boards. That article from OLive certainly mentioned that very sentiment
