Killing a four minute penalty including a short handed goal to go up 4-2 only to cough it up with two quick goals cannot happen.
Trouba is 100% getting bought out in the offseason. He’s been one of the biggest reasons why this team has collapsed and Florida has come back. His stupid penalties and mediocre play are crippling this team.

Florida’s spacing and willingness to shoot from anywhere and everywhere on the PP is a complete 180 from our crappy PP. No one willing to shoot on our PP, guys standing around and making weak plays on the perimeter.
The biggest issue is not nearly enough shots. Yes, they had a 4-2 lead but they’re getting grossly out-chanced.
Too often looking for the perfect shot while wasting 90 seconds of the power play. Florida doesn’t pass up shots. The Rangers do far too often.
D-pairings are totally different. Wish Trouba just wouldn’t be out there at all though. Only a matter of time til captain fuck up screws up again.
Yep. This was their Achilles heel last year. Overpassing, trying to get the pretty goal and forgetting that ugly goals count just the same as pretty ones.
Trouba, as has been the case for most of the playoffs, has been the other teams best player. Give me Jones over Trouba. Give me literally anyone over him.

This feels like that Ottawa series a few years ago when they had a chance to take over the series and blew a 2g lead and lost in OT.
Because our forwards aren’t willing to go to the boards and take a hit to move the puck. We lose 90% of the board battles before we even get to the boards because we don’t communicate and we don’t have the balls to fight for the puck. We whack at it with our stick whereas Florida goes full body for it.
The difference is the reality here is that they’re getting dominated. Sucks to blow a 4-2 lead but if not for Shesterkin this game is long over.
