Ok, enjoy your death and the death of your children. And it probably won't be instant and painless, those will be the lucky ones.

Russia should stop. If Russia uses nukes NATO will wipe them out and Russia knows that. NATO will not need to use nukes to accomplish this goal, and NATO will have the world's support, especially if Russia uses nukes.

I'm cheering for Russia to stop.

Putin isn't suicidal. If he launches nukes it will not be at the US and nobody else is going to launch nukes because they know that NATO doesn't need nukes to take out Russia.

Most of Russia probably doesn't know.

The people who know in Russia are probably trying to figure out how they can keep the con going without getting killed by Putin, or how they can get out of Russia with as many assets as possible before being killed by Putin.

Putin is probably trying to figure out how to keep the con going without losing power.

What they should feel is that it would therefore be a bad idea to attack a NATO country.

Of course, they should also feel it would be a bad idea to attack any country. But obviously they don't feel that way.

What if a NATO country attacks them first?

As soon as a NATO country attacks Russia unprovoked, we'll have the context to intelligently discuss the validity of a Russian military response thereto.

Other members of NATO aren't obligated in that instance.

Hey, you too! Are you planning to be a zombie afterwards, by any chance? If so maybe we'll meet up.

He's probably not wrong if by "their survival" you mean Russia's status as a world top economic power...

Russia is doing fine, thanks to us. Our sanctions did nothing but remove our own poisonous fast food and other harmful products from their people. Big loss lol. They are still importing gas to all the same countries, only now it goes through more middlemen nations and commands a higher price so they are making even more money. They are becoming allies with the most powerful countries on the planet (China) who actively plan for the future while our dinosaur politicians are still just blindly trying to loot a burning ship. Multiple countries are banding together to reject the dollar which will topple our fragile empire sooner than later. Been outside lately? Our cities look like Michael Jacksons Thriller video and we think we have some sort of moral authority over anyone else, which is laughable. We’re the Clampetts with a violence problem trying to judge others in the neighborhood. Ukraine is essentially a shell corp. for this American corruption and laundering and their used car salesmen of a leader takes a cut. There are a TON of bad things to say about Putin too, but at least he didn’t interrupt the Grammys to beg me for money.

The sanctions weren't intended to harm russian citizens. They were mostly intended to harm the oligarchs, from what I can tell. Which they did.

They were already allies. This changes nothing.

Welcome to democracy. I much prefer it over the political systems of Russia, China, or North Korea. Don't you?

Yeah, I've been hearing this my whole life.

We can choose to fix all of our problems whenever we want. Unfortunately that will require either progressive policies (improving access to education and healthcare) that you don't seem support, or authoritarian policies that I don't support.

Since when is helping somebody defend their home "judging"? And I don't know what interruption you're talking about. I don't watch that garbage.

All you need is a shack in the woods and a typewriter, and you can start your manifesto!

Russia is fighting a modern war, using..

    WW2 rusty equipment
Manned by untrained civilians in uniforms
    Using WW1 tactics

Sneaky buggers, no one could have predicted this.

I'm sure the FBI or the KGB could set that up for you....you might have to buy your own typewriter though
