I wonder if Houston would consider trading Jabari Smith and what it would take?

Blazers need to start thinking boldly and take some calculated chances IF this team is going to pull itself out of the gutter and to be blunt not sure if Cronin has it in him. I hope he proves me wrong cause IF I am right we as fans are in for 3 to 5 plus years of hoping for a top 3 pick and while that can be fun it can get old fast.

Go all in with the vets to get Sarr. Gotta slash salary and free the ball up for Shae and Scoot anyways, might as well get an extremely agile 7-1 prospect for it.

quick recap of Blazers Edge off-season trade ideas:

    1) Brogdan is worth a young and established All-Defensive stud and 3 FRP's.

    2) Robert Williams can be traded for a 2025 high lottery pick. Wizards, Hornets, Pistons must pay big for Timelord.

    3) Jerami Grant can be had for 4 FRP's, 2 young starters with All-Star potential + pick swaps

    4) Simons has grown into a 6'10" monster. He's basically untouchable, unless it's something better then a Rudy Gobert type haul. 10 FRP's + 2 talented Centers

    5) Cronin should have won GM of the year

    6) Billups should have won Coach of the Year.

    7) if we see you saying anything negative after a tough Blazers loss, we will suspend you from the comments section.

    8) the Moda Center is packed to the ceiling during every home game.

    9) Jody Allen is moments away from owning a championship roster.

    10) none of our writers watch Blazer basketball, but our 2K Blazer team is ripping up the online gaming leagues.

Grant can get 3 FRP, Simons 2, Brogdon 1 and Thybulle 1. So yeah we can trade them all for 7 FRP.

    LMAO yeah right... I wish

I wasn't kidding with my outlandish post. Sometimes I do joke around, but after browsing some B.E. articles and fan comments... they live in alternate dimension NBA on that website.

I just really think this is the summer to go deep rebuild and trade Grant/Simons/Brogdon.

I'm fine keeping Thybulle as a locker room vet. I'm not sure what value Williams has. If someone wants him and they're offering a pick, take it, but I'm fine keeping him.

Agreed. You don't want tendencies from players like Grant and Simons rubbing off on the young guys. You do want tendencies from players like Thybulle rubbing off on them.

I'm interested in Sarr, and trades of our vets for Houston youngins. Don't think either will happen, but I'm still hoping....

According to the Blazers DJ spin master, Jerami's legs turn to mush after 60 games. If you watched his 2 years in Portland, Grant's mobility takes a nosedive by February. Jerami had an outstanding season until he couldn't ball anymore. How are playoff teams supposed to put value on Grant ?? I don't think anything is faked. But the Blazers cheat, so it's hard to see through the fog of ping pong percentages.

"Checked in on"? Does that mean "can we have him for Tim Hardaway Jr. and a rusty nickel? No? What if we say pretty please?"

Dallas has nothing for POR. They ain’t giving up Lively in a Grant trade that’s for sure.

Yeah, we need to trade him for a good pick and a young player or players. I don't see that from Dallas. Just another team trying to get something for nothing.

There has got to be a 3rd team involved in a Grant to Dal deal and I not sure there are many teams that would make a good team as that helper team. I am just not sold it can happen and I may not be a Grant fan for THIS team but he is worth more then scraps.

I would rather trade Grant to the Pels for Brandon Ingram than trade him to Dallas for Hardaway jr and scraps.

For Grant, I like the idea of sending him to a team that has cap space.

Either Detroit for #5 or Philly for #18 and a couple future picks. Philly has some enticing picks from LAC. Their 2028 unprotected pick could be worth a lot. I'd probably be happy with 18 and the 2028 unprotected pick for Grant. That clears a ton of money off our cap.

Simons to Orlando. Done deal. Send me #18/Black/WCJ.

Brogdon is harder to pick out. I wonder if Philly would do Grant/Brogdon for:

    #16 this year
    2026 unprotected Philly pick
    2028 unprotected LAC pick

Would we do that? We clear $52 million off our books and we take back some interesting picks. No players though.
