OT Roe V Wade In Trouble

More reprieve than victory. Court ruled on narrow standings. To overturn a law, plaintiff must have standing by showing they were harmed. Case brought by handful of far right all male so far as I know doctors who claimed standing by saying when women get abortions they are deprived of not of delivering our babies. Cue violins.

Court anti woman majority made it clear they are open to better challenge.

 

That was my concern as well... I can't imagine what a legitimate challenge would be, though?

 

On MSNBC, Simone Sanders asked leader of Heritage Foundation, architect of Project 2025, plan for Christian theocracy headed by Trump, if a woman should be allowed an abortion if doctor says it is needed for her health.

No.

 

And in children with serious birth defects.
Not at all unexpected. Completely predictable.

 

Saw a T shirt "keep your theology off my biology". Going to order one.

 

In South Carolina, five women legislators, three Republicans and two Democrats, successfully filibustered a forced birth bill. They talked about complexities of pregnancy, medical needs, privacy and rights of families.

The three Republicans all lost primaries to woman hating men who pledged to vote to force every woman and barely pubescent girl to carry every pregnancy to term under every circumstance.

 

Hate this.

 

We've created hell in other countries for decades. The chickens are finally here to roost. We see our leaders never gave a shit about patriotism or taking care of Americans, they were filling their pockets the entire time.

 

That's the system we have. Citizens United sealed the deal.

 

I won't participate anymore with these two parties. I'm out.

 

Then you are supporting whichever party is worse for the people. That's the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in. Your choice to abstain puts you directly in support of Trump this election season. Unfortunately we've fallen too far for abstaining to be productive.

 

I'm voting for change. Can't get that voting for either of these parties.

 

How does that get us change? What possible mechanism could be put into action by voting for somebody else?

 

If enough people stop encouraging this garbage mirage of a choice, the sooner this will fall.

It's like asking the Iranian people why they don't vote. It's a ruse. The sooner you understand that and stop thumbing your nose at people the sooner we can unite and take on this wicked system.

 

The more people who don't vote or vote for a candidate without a chance the more power the parties have.

That's what the Republicans are counting on..

 

They're literally building cop city wherever they can. They know their end is coming.

 

I don't see how their end is coming.
