So, the suggestion is that they would be impeached for perjury (lying to Congress) committed prior to them actually assuming their office?

Both Alito and especially Thomas took millions of dollars in gifts from people with business before the court.

Trump's sentencing on 34 felony convictions postponed to September while judge considers claim of immunity.
    Someone is above the law.

Exactly, to just complain about trump without taking serious actions, even by replacing Joe with someone that would better have a chance to beat him.

    Along with Liz Cheney.
Moscow Mitch illegally held a Supreme Court seat for 10 months. Blocked legislation on voting rights. Blocked conviction on impeachment. Endorsed him in 2024. Not sure what disloyal act he committed.

According to this court, a president cannot mandate pollution control but can order assassination of opponents.
To clarify, a Democrat can't mandate pollution control but a Republican can order assassination.

Congressman Adam Schiff, whom Trump regularly refers to with anti-Semitic smear, has put forward a bill:
Enforceable code of ethics applies to Supreme Court justices as it does to all other judges
    Term limits
    Expanding court
Republicans obviously will block it from a vote.

I don't know. I'm offering a possible reason. It's not like it would be unrelated. It's like lying on your job interview.

If the ruling gives Trump immunity, doesn't it also give Biden the same immunity?

If so, All hail "King Biden"?

    Yes and no.

The SC justices ultimately will decide for each case whether the president has immunity or not. This current SC will say yes for Trump and no for Biden.

Justice Jackson: president can replace attorney general. President can't poison attorney general to get rid of them.

According to the very argument SCOTUS accepted from Trump's attorneys, POTUS also could have SCOTUS members murdered as long as it's "official business."

Technically, according to yesterday's ruling, the current SCOTUS could effectively be purged before ever hearing the case. And, even then, according to Trump's attorney's argument, POTUS would have to be impeached first even to get to that point.

    A quote from the article.

It may be my literal thinking, but the line I put in bold tells me that the any president, including the current president, has these powers. No lawyer, of course. But that is how my head interprets it.

    LGBTQ People. We’re people.

Also yes and yes. I’m not going to give this much respect because it’s not asked with respect but:

Also the Supreme Court did just give Trump immunity because he tried to install himself as dictator in 2021 but failed, and they don’t want him to be disqualified from running because of that.

And SCOTUS left it vague enough that a president can do it and they can go back and say "it's not what we meant." However, Trump's representative was asked this actual scenario during arguments, tried to avoid answering it by saying such an action would be subject to criminal charge after an impeachment and removal and then, when pushed, said that, yes, that was how we interpret the powers of a president.

More lib spin and lies. They were literally assaulting the white house, they broke down the gate and were setting things on fire. That's why he went into the bunker. The damage was more severe than Jan 6.

They did. They set Stephen Miller's hair on fire. That's why he's bald.
