I’m hearing rumblings that Biden may get out of the campaign.

Who is your top choice to run for him?

I like J.B. Pritzker of Illinois.

    I would love a Trump/Buttigeg debate though

We don't know. But to avoid free for all it would have to be vice president.

Prtizker and Whitmer would be my ideal choices. Winning is the most important part though. Polls show Michelle Obama beating Trump by 11%. I would go with percentages. Moneyball ftw.

IMO Kamala does not have the cult of personality to win the election.

Democrats don't have cults. Republicans didn't used to.
Convention isn't set up for open nomination. If Biden decides not to run, big if, he would probably retire before election. Harris becomes president under Constitution. She would be doing the job already.
I can't think of any cult. Not Sanders, not Obama who can't run.

It still astounds me that the one with 34 felony convictions is not asked to step aside.

She would then pick a running mate?

Not sure Kamala is popular enough to beat Trump. But, if that's the case I hope so.

Obama has said she won't run. But, maybe to beat Trump and save the country she will make an exception.

Does he have a big enough national profile?

Of course Harris would pick running mate. My guess either a senator in very blue state not running this year, Congress member in very Democratic district or someone not in office.
    Jamie Raskin?
    Jay Inslee?
    Julian Castro?
    Katie Porter?
    Totally guessing

Newsome would never get the undecided vote. He is as corrupt as Trump, and 10x more delusional on how to run an economy than Biden.

Klobuchar gets my vote. Harris does not.

Might be smart to pick someone from a battleground state like Whitmer.

If Joes simply drops out but finishes this term cant they decide who replaces him at or before convention? Delegates revote right? I agree with Chris that Harris may not beat trump and know it may cause a fight but its important to get it right.

Correct, she’s fighting a doubly uphill battle by being neither white nor male. But she is under 75!

advertising money has already been spent on the campaign...to do this Joe would have to address the nation and in my view...pick his own successor. I don't think Harris can unify the nation and insure a Trump loss. Klobuchar could win the undecided vote as she's a conservative democrat. Raskin would destroy Trump in a debate but he's not going to get many conservative votes.
