If someone would have told me at the beginning of the season that Julio would be batting 7th in the lineup AND we would be in first place in the west, I would have said it's impossible. If we finish these next 6 games still in first place, I'll be pretty surprised.

I was gonna say something smirky, but then I glanced down and saw only 2 hits for the Mariners. No need to rub it in.

 

There is no pride or fight in this organization, from the bottom on up. They are a 500 team plain and simple. No post-season for you!

 

Mariners starting pitching should be livid with their teammate's bats. And how sad is it that the broadcasters have to ooohh and ahh over mariner FOUL BALLS/FLY OUTS. I have never heard such praise for foul balls. Boggles the mind.

 

Mentink should coach. Scott subbed out the only guy that hit the ball last night. Angie seems smart enough to let guys swing away.
