I don't so much support Trump as hate the party he is running against (as well as the neocons within the Republican party). RFK Jr is the leader who actually promotes things I believe in. But the propaganda and lawfare levied against him has been insane. Much of the left is so blinded by TDS its all they can see. As for Trump, I hope with him we'll at least get decent border security, that he won't run an administration based on wokeness. I like the idea of energy independence, protecting American jobs, ending the war in Ukraine, 1A, 2A. Trump tried to get North Korea to denuclearize and was lambasted by the media for even meeting with Kim Jong Un. Fast forward to today, and now North Korea has hypersonic missiles from Russia that would most likely defeat any defense we have.
Michael Tracy nails it: "This "Case for Kamala" document is very indicative of "Dem insider" group psychology. (Also known as "luxury liberals.") To them, literally nothing on Earth is as important as defeating Trump. Not nuclear war, not World War III, not corporate power and concentration of wealth. Forget about Israel/Gaza, forget about Ukraine, forget about China, forget about everything else. For them it's self-evidently true that the #1 priority of all conscientious citizens must be to save them from the crippling psychological burden of being self-traumatized again by another reign of Trump. Nothing else impinges on their thought processes. Like... having a moderately competent president. You get the sense that they would be absolutely fine with Biden remaining in power until age 86 so long as his cognitive impairment didn't become a political liability. The substantive downsides of that presidential predicament don't appear to bother them in the slightest. I wonder if a single one of them has ever read or learned anything about the President's nuclear authorities, despite posturing as such concerned and diligent citizens. The document makes zero mention of what Kamala Harris would do in any realm of foreign policy, except to briefly assert that "she’s broadly considered to be to Biden’s left on Israel-Palestine" which they suggest could be helpful in keeping the Democratic activist coalition mollified. They provide zero substantive citation for the basis of this weird claim. What has Kamala Harris ever said or done that makes her "broadly considered" to have a different position on Israel-Palestine than Biden? Nothing. For them, it's enough to just blithely assert that this is "broadly considered" to be the case, even if it's totally divorced from any substantive reality. What they do stress over and over again as their "single most-important issue" is abortion. The absolute existential primacy of abortion is another self-evident truth for them. The president has by far the most unilateral, unchecked power in the domain of foreign relations and "national security," but they could hardly give a shit, instead assuming that everyone's political and policy existence must eternally revolve around abortion. The life of the "luxury" or "limousine" liberal."
So same erosion of our rights as we've been seeing over the last 16 years. 80% of which has been under a Dem president with Biden being the president or vise president. I can't imagine why people aren't more excited...
Unfortunate fact, Senate established to undemocratic and Moscow Mitch using filibuster makes it much more so. Not only does he block popular bills, Republicans then blame Democrats for not getting things done. Astonishing that Biden still got a lot done. I am damn frustrated over attacks on rights. What would you suggest? Candidates campaign on what they want to enact. Trump would act as a dictator. I suppose Biden is at disadvantage because he won't. Which is good reason to vote for him.
I would suggest the Democrats and DNC start getting stuff done rather than playing politics and then whining because the Republicans are playing politics better. Maybe ACTUALLY support the middle class and poor rather than just campaigning on supporting them. And then when you get a popular candidate with a record of actually supporting the middle class and poor you don't actively cheat them out of the nomination in favor of a far less popular candidate that happens to be owned by the same people who own the Republicans. I've seen nothing that would lead me to believe anything has changed. As long as Democrats keep playing this game they will keep losing the important battles to Republicans because Republicans are made up of fewer factions and their factions are simpler and more radical. Democrats are playing this game because it is lucrative. And in doing so they are giving the country to corporations and religious nuts. That's why they are just as bad as Republicans. That's why the parties are the same. That's why people can honestly say it doesn't matter who you vote for. It doesn't matter. The outcome is the same.
Politics is actually the DNC's line of work. Asking the DNC to govern doesn't make any sense. It's hard to get things done with divided government. I think Dems have done better than could have been expected in the Biden years at getting things done. barfo
It is near impossible to get anything done when Biden turns every issue into a passive agressive confrontation. A perfect example is how Biden lied about the border control issue, WHICH BIDEN CREATED!!!! Then turning it into a no win battle. Biden is a horrible president, on both the domestic, and foreign issues.
Lowering prescription drug costs One third rebate for solar Building new plants in US Actual infrastructure Bridge repair Heat protection for outdoor workers Allowing time off for service women to get reproductive health care Not sexy but they help people Children can now get free lunches in summer. Governor just has to request. Republican governor's in 14 states won't. Voting is a beginning, not an end. Vote, rally, sit in, educate, join community groups working otn issues that interest you.
Biden created the border issue? Weird. Why did Trump propose building a wall in 2016? Was that somehow because of Joe Biden? I'd agree Biden hasn't solved the problems at the border, but created them? It's been an issue for decades. The border bill that died recently wouldn't have solved the issue either, but it would have helped. It wasn't Biden that killed that effort, it was Trump. barfo
YES, BIDEN CREATED THE BORDER PROBLEM!!!@@ Under Trump, the border was under control. Not perfect, but far better than under Biden. Biden created the border problem by opening the border. Too many took advantage of Biden's very weak policy. It became obvious to everyone that Biden's open border policy was creating huge problems. Sadly, some of the blue cities were the most damaged by Biden's policy. When confronted, Biden lied. He said he could not tighten the border. We know this is a lie for two reasons. 1) Biden opened the border, so he can close it, or reduce the numbers. 2) Biden finally caved and did restrict how many can enter. Biden's lies and political games hurt many people. Fuck Biden. His passive agressive games and lies have hurt our country, and made the world more dangerous. Dems, please find another candidate. Don't make me vote for Trump. There is no way I will vote for Biden.
No one is making you vote for Trump. If you decide to vote for a man with 34 felony convictions, hundreds of millions of dollars in civil and criminal penalties, who wants to be a dictator, grovels before Putin, Xi and Kim Jong Un, an incompetent, corrupt misogynist, a racist, anti Semite, mentally deranged narcissistic sociopath who cares for nothing but his ego and his wealth, that's on you.
Would that be the illegally obtained diary?? Other than that, I'm personally not familiar with it. But then, the Republicans have thrown so many damn faux turds into the punch bowl, it's hard to tell a real floater from a tootsie roll....
I have two relatives that worked for the border patrol in the 70s and 80s and believe me, the border problem goes way past Biden or Trump's administrations...I lived on the border for a short stretch in San Ysidro and every morning people crossed the river...this was 1973....the idea that it's some kind of modern dilema is just sensationalized partisan crap but it's a really old issue ...we've had plenty of crooks escape into Mexico for a couple of hundred years now as well.....one might say we weren't sending Mexico our "best" people. Biden at least got a reform bill on the table that Trump squashed to use as a campaign talking pt....why the GOP wouldn't want that bill written into law and putting more money into the border patrol and court backlog..Trump's bullshit was basically brown immigrant bad...white immigrant good.
Agree with you - The Senate negotiated a bipartisan border security agreement that included a lot of the Republican demands. The House has refused to vote on it. Any talk now of border security rests firmly on the backs of the Republican controlled House.
No!!!! Please, please how can I change your Idaho vote to go to Biden instead The Idaho workforce must be absolutely decimated by all the illegals coming over and choosing Idaho to steal the all the whites jobs
