What evidence? Who is corroborating her story?

Democrats liking a tweet they would reject from a republican. Such god awful hypocrisy.

In no way, shape or form does this tweet show the whole truth. It literally overlooks the fact that American workers have been taking home less and less of their "share of the pie" since the 80's. And that trend hasn't changed during any presidents term, that I have seen, in my lifetime. Labor unions have been under attack since the 60's, but mostly since the 80's. It doesn't show that workers have made their own gains in wages, not Biden nor any other president. I watched as workers fought for their wages, as well as unions. Unions are up in America, but not by much, due to American workers pushing for them while politicians sat on the sideline, jacking their useless jaws, and taking credit.

It doesn't take into account the loss of American wages, the fact that CEO wages have skyrocketed over the decades while American wages have been held back. Companies now pay their CEO's ungodly wages compared to the workers who produce the product. They can corruptly do stock buybacks and pay their shareholders, over paying their workers fair living wages. I could go on and on about why this simple tweet doesn't tell the full story. But it will be wasted on people who can't see their own hypocrisy.

While Americans are getting screwed over more and more. Both the democrats and republicans literally help our oligarchy rob from America. And both sides believe their party has morals. Pathetic.

American politics is like talking about God, once you've picked your side. No amount of truth will change your position, because your party has already made up your mind... for you.

Edit: This reply isn't about you Phatguy. It is about the literal hypocrisy I watch day in and day out as democrats argue with republicans with tweets and articles that they themselves would reject from a republican, due to lack of facts. Yet, since a democrat posted it, it must be true.

Biden has appointed the most inclusive and diverse cabinet in history and filled his team with more women and minorities than any president in history. That's simply a fact. The fact that Joe is old enough to have worked in government when it was a white, good ole boys club shows he's adapted and embraced diversity over his half century in public office. Plenty to complain about Joe but he's not a racist no matter how that suits the false equivalency that he's as bad as Trump. He's not as bad and it's not even close. To me that's just glaringly apparent.

I get that. But Republicans have been far worse.

    We need to vote.

-We need to vote for a single open primary with top four candidates of any party earning their way to the general election.

-We need to vote for Ranked Choice style elections. Example: If no single candidate receives more than 50% of the vote. The candidate with the lowest total is dropped and the vote is recounted using the second choice from these votes. Repeat process until you have a winner.

-We need to vote to end gerrymandering.

We can still change things. But we have to vote to do it.

Some the disagree with specific administration policies. As do I. But can anyone name a specific bad policy decision that results from Biden's alleged mental incompetence? Drink bleach? Insist he won an election he lost?

'Scandalous': G7 Nations Spend 62 Times More on Military Than Humanitarian Aid

"More must be invested in eradicating poverty and fostering peace and development, not fueling war and destruction," said one campaigner.

    https://www.commondreams.org/news/global-military-spending-2023

America spends more money on war, under democrats and republicans, than we do on our own. Your party cares more about investing in war than investing in America/Americans. Period.

In my lifetime, Democrats went from pot smoking, peace loving, 60's hippies. To war mongering, homeless banning, uncaring, inhumane people.

Seemingly intelligent humans make themselves stupid and useless by simply... picking a party. This is why it isn't worth even talking politics in America. Both sides look away from what their party doesn't do, to show you what their party supposedly did do for America. That is cherry picking reality. And this is literally how both sides argue, most all points. That and both sides control the narrative. If the thread is targeted against a democrat, the democrats will all argue against it. If it is about a republican, democrats will like the post. While republicans will argue against all threads targeting their party/candidates. And like the posts in favor of their party.

In the end... It is all about our own childish egos. Which makes us uselessly stupid, led by the nose... humans.

Political party, society and our media make Americans stupid. Period.

The Chinese have an old saying that even though they claim to have over 10,000 years as a civilized people....only about 1% of the people were civilized while 99% were still picking fleas out of each others hair in caves. History is only understood by the literate or the curious. Sadly most humans have little interest in either and those who do are in the vast minority. Like most things, being stupid takes practice just like being constantly angry...choiices..we are now faced with an election that on one side represents the stupid or authoritarian dreamers and on the other side represents the literate and informed segment of the country.

it hasn't started streaming yet, just the introduction of NATO members so far. I'll watch the whole speech and hopefully some non partisan perspective of what NATO represents to the world will inform some folks who are misinformed. The video about history and the formation of NATO was well put together.

I watched it...it was basically a medal ceremony for the Secretary General of NATO to get the medal of freedom from Joe. Joe just repeated what was shown in the video montage of Truman, Reagan, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Obama and highlighting the invasion of eastern Europe by the Soviet Union and the building and tearing down of the wall. Highlighting that NATO is at 75 years the oldest alliance in world history and is expanding to protect peace. Pretty matter of fact speech.
I think it sent a clear message to Putin and his cronies that they are not going to threaten their neighbors without great loss..

And, After agreeing with me that neither party cares about America. Wow, simply wow. :hcp:

You can show democrats their own hypocrisy, and they argue that they are still somehow the literate and informed party. That is literally the same argument republicans use: "We have all the facts".

Both sides have a big pile of horse shit. Arguments they have all learned to respond with. Yet in all those responses, not one of them will show you both sides of the story. Just the bright shiny side they use to beat you over the head with. America's problems are literally ignored by democrats and republicans. They won't allow them to be attached to their party. How do you win an argument with two parties that fucking argue always in favor of their party. Never do you see a democrat post about Biden's lies, nor his failures. Nor do you see the same from republicans regarding Trump and their party. If you do, it will be extremely rare, and solely to control the narrative of the conversation. We all live in a fantasy world created by both democrats and republicans.

America showed us in the 60's that we will never, ever, allow black people to be equal with white people in America by killing their leaders. The ones they didn't kill, they jailed. Today people of color still live in our worse neighborhoods, do our most menial jobs. And usually, all for less pay than their white counterparts. We all literally pretend that America is created equal, when it clearly isn't, and never will be. And yet in today's society we must treat all people equally, regardless of race, religion, sexual preference, etc. . It is all "woke" bullshit. When we aren't equal by race, sex, etc. and we can all see that much is truth. Yet we still pretend it to be true. Being autistic, and after what I just went through over the last 5 years. I can't, and never will be able to pretend that America, nor Americans truly care about America/Americans.

The next time that someone wants equal treatment in America, and they aren't black. Tell them to go find a black person and ask them how to get treated equally in America...

When the bridge came down in mid March and people were supporting the 6 dead workers. They forget that they were all people of color. Because they do our most menial jobs. Way to care America.

I am out. The hypocrisy from both sides bores me. Besides, the fantasy world you people have created to argue over, isn't worth it... because it simply isn't even reality.

Edit: Actually, Tell them to go find an Indian and ask them how to get treated equally in America. If you can find one. They have been made even harder to find in America than black people are.

It is ironic that Indians have become the bottom of the totem pole, in their own country.

12 republicans voted to impeach Trump...several lost their jobs by going against Trump and joined the Jan 6th committee....all the witnesses over the coup attempt were republican staffers or employees....that discounts your both sides argument my friend and people come to conclusions from their own sense of right and wrong not just because of popular sentiments....even if something is really wrong...those sentiments are widespread. People have actual convictions about the state of the world beyond media or partisan propaganda

I didn't see you offer any proposals to improve things.

We can vote our way to a better future.
