Actually hoping they don't. He looks like the establishment candidate and the one with the media pushing him. The regular people want to vote against him, so I hope he stays on the ticket.
I think people might be surprised how easily Biden wins. Women are going to come out in droves. People hate their choices. But common sense will prevail.
Your fingers to voters' eyes! Can't say your lips to God's ears since you aren't speaking and I'm an atheist. Best I can manage.
C'mon Mick. A full one third of this country (at least) will still vote for an addled, grifting convicted felon no matter what. That means that "common sense" and MAGA are mutually exclusive. I'm not sure the far left has a whole lotta common sense either. I'm still all in on Biden but I wish I could share your optimism.
Kamala needs to be out there in the public eye campaigning hard, so everyone sees that right behind Biden is someone young, able, and vigorous on the ticket.
Oxford Economics says Trump's policies would cause inflation to rise about six times as much as Biden's. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/mar...r&cvid=89dabb12166a45519e4875d0927c5599&ei=57
Project 2025 demands a complete ban on abortion, birth control, and in vitro fertilization. These positions are wildly unpopular and would give Democrats big edge with women. So Trump instructed convention to merely say states have the right to ban abortion. Headlines in New York Times, Washington Post, NBC all day Trump is "softening" anti abortion stance. They ignored unhinged speech in Florida. Doing all they can to elect Trump.
The danger of deifying capitalism is that the eventual destination is everything is for sale. Legislators and watchdogs become part of the market, too. We were lucky to have enough people of character and laws to check this, but that's gone by the wayside in the last 50 years. The rules, both written and unwritten, are being changed or ignored. One doesn't need to be a genius to realize that when you have most of the money centralized among so few people, they have enough to buy at least a few politicians key to legislation and policy, a judge or two that can legalize their efforts, and the media outlets to determine how actively to spin and disseminate the message. That's not a conspiracy. It's simply what free market purists would advocate.
