President Biden today reiterated condolences to families of those killed and opposition to political violence. He announced several steps: working with secret service and local police to increase security for Trump, increased security at Republican convention, and investigation into security failures yesterday. He acted like a president.
Democratic Party decides to sack up and play hardball by calling out Trump for the piece of shit he is. And BAM. One day later an assassination attempt. The timing is impeccable. Almost like too good on the timing. I wonder if the Democrat strategy will go back to bringing a knife to a gun fight?

He is a Nazi, he is a walking corpse. ANYONE who continues to point the finger instead of hold out a hand is guilty. I plead for people to take the high ground. Let civility triumph and love conquer and flow through the veins, draining away the hatred drop by drop, drip by drip. . It has got to stop. Be the first in your circle to break the chain. Seriously. What is the alternative? Continual hatred until we are shooting our neighbors through our windows? Civil war??What is the alternative? To grow old and bitter and full of hate? What is the alternative???????? We have to change, somehow, someway. We cant wait for someone else to change. We must change ourselves. Only then is their any hope of making it down the path we are on without mass bloodshed. Im begging all of you. Put the hatred aside.
We as a nation are responsible to teach young people how to communicate with people and be respectful. Doesn't matter who's right or who's wrong, if we neglect to coach young people to be composed, respectful, and how to treat others. Well, we've failed as a society.
Biden spoke again calling for rejecting political violence. Referenced assassination attempt, attack on Capitol January 6 , attack on Paul Pelosi and attempted kidnapping of Governor Whitmer, intimidation of election workers. Acknowledged political differences and conviction election will shape the country for decades but said decide at ballot box and not with violence. Saying all you need is love...groovy but Republican candidate for governor did say some people should be killed. No equivalence. If you keep saying be nice everyone without acknowledging that you aren't living in reality.
The problem is, we have these tribes where saying the more extreme things gets you pats on the back. It happens on the right too, but it seems to be amped up on the left to a much greater degree these days.
