Some on far right are unhappy with Vance. His wife is Indian immigrant and their three children have Indian names. How can we ban nonwhite immigrants if VP is married to one?
That only goes for those who aren't politically affiliated or wealthy. Other races who are wealthy aren't real minorities. But the poor minorities. Yeah we got to stomp on the poor minorities.
I’m a Teamster and my shop is overwhelmingly Democrat (plus we’re in Portland duh). But there’s a lot of dumb people throughout the country that are Trump supporters, Teamsters or not. But it’s a special kind of stupid to vote against your livelihood essentially.
Might be stereotyping on my part here so forgive me, but Musk, Thiel, it's a sort of right wing techbro alliance and Indian immigrants or their kids are often in that sphere. Vance has a son with her named Vivek, and unless I read total 4chan tier rag garbage on Twitter, she dated or was close with Vivek Ramswamy in college. I could see Trump passing the baton to these guys as a less braindead, policy oriented version of MAGA that at least won't get shot at in 2028. I'm in Toronto and Indian student/work visas have become a controversial issue. It started popping up as a talking point at the tail end of the pandemic as an example of so called government hypocrisy. Even the far right here is mostly boring and apathetic, the PPC are basically a populist right wing Libertarian revenge party founded by a guy (Maxime Bernier) who was so offended by the chipmunk faced asshole his party passed him over for that he acts as a spoiler in some key ridings. Unless this is just a fad, dare I say "pop-racism" on the terminally online right wing, I'm inclined to believe the educated, conservative Indians who aren't generally around morons will be in for a rude awakening when an Appalachian mess on food stamps calls them a slur.
Vance and Don Trump jr could pass as twins. Since it is obvious Trump sr has mental issues. My theory is, he thought he picked jr as vp. Keeping all of Trumps corrupt dealings in order might get interesting, if he mixes the two up.
Pence was this evangelical conservative Indiana weirdo who wanted horses inside him as he electrocuted gay people, nobody liked that guy, nobody. Maybe Trump is hoping that Vance will become a loyalist by hanging around his sons at social events. Let's be real though, the VP is usually a decision made to make the party happy. It's not surprising that the first thing Vance did post nomination was a Hannity interview in which he suggested it's time to bomb Iran. That's what someone who grew up in Appalachia deeply cares about, of course, getting tough on Iran.
Didn't they just try to make a big deal and falsely so about there being no war during Trump's term, and now they are like let's go to war!
