A long time ago, I registered independent, thinking I’d get third party stuff or whatever. No all I got was republican stuff. Independent and Undecided are just conservative terms words for “make me feel special first”. Interpreting it optimistically, they’re republicans with self-respect.
I am a registered independent because there are people in Democratic party with whom I do not care to be associated. Like Henry Cuellar, homophobic anti choice Democrat now under indictment.
I'll be disappointed if it is Roy Cooper. Adding an old white guy seems like backsliding. Same for Walz. Don't like Mark Kelley much either - I find him difficult to listen to, although I can see he brings a useful bio to the ticket. If I can't have Pete (and I probably can't) I'd rather have Shapiro. barfo
Much more Trump fans this cycle that are ashamed to admit it. When you start giving Hannity type talking points it’s obvious where your they stand
Deceiving American voters of Bidens mental health is insignificant? It wasnt his age, it is his mental capacity. Now Harris is the candidate even though she got no votes leading up to this election, or the last time she ran. Hand picking a candidate is not a democratic process.
No current right leaning American has any no credibility attacking "democratic processes", or even trying to define what they are. Especially when the current Republican Party is hell bent (and openly so) bent on flushing democracy down the toilet with Project 2025. You're pissing into a hurricane dude, and it 's drenching you.......
I like Walz. He gave such a great answer when accused of being too "left"; free breakfast and lunch in school, tuition free college, legal marijuana, LGBTQ rights. "Oh the horror, children with full bellies getting an education!" He has rural background, military experience, state ranked five in business opportunities and amazing third in happiness despite having possibly worst weather in the country. Ever been there in winter?
Yee-haw: Roy Cooper Is Said to Withdraw From Harris’s Vice-Presidential Field Mr. Cooper, the governor of North Carolina, had been seen as one of the half-dozen top candidates to join the Democratic presidential ticket. It was not immediately clear why he withdrew. barfo
Inciting the attack on the Capitol. Misidentifying the woman he raped as his ex-wife. Inciting the attack on the Capitol. Telling people injecting themselves with disinfectant will kill COVID while fighting his own immunologist. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL. Picking a misogynistic, potentially self-loathing closeted gay man as his VP. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL TO OVERTURN THE RESULTS OF A FAIR AND FREE ELECTION. Routinely glitching and slurring words during his rallies. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE FREAKING CAPITOL. Giving Afghanistan to the Taliban without consulting our allies there and abandoning our Kurdish allies. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL. Twice being impeached and convicted of 34 felonies with several other trials warming up. INCITING AT ATTACK ON THE U.S. CAPITOL FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. Suffering the worst economic failure for the U.S. chief executive since Herbert Hoover and proposing an economic plan this time that experts say would drive inflation up six times what the Democratic plan would. TELLING HIS SUPPORTERS TO ATTACK THE CAPITOL, WHERE THEY THREATENED TO KILL THE VP AND HOUSE SPEAKER. Tear gassing peaceful protesters so he could take a photo op holding the Bible upside down. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL. Taking us out of the Paris environmental accords, ending our agreement to keep Iran from making nuclear weapons and threatening to dissolve NATO while cozying up with Russia, N. Korea and Saudi Arabia. INCITING AN ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL. Telling 30,573 lies in his first failed term, when hate crimes went up substantially. INCITING A RIOT AT THE CAPITOL. Oh, yeah, I forgot HE INCITED AN INSURRECTION. Trump has to answer all of these things. They all are more important than Kamala Harris' part in the cognitive state of Joe Biden, who, BTW, had one of the most accomplished single terms as U.S. president while Trump measurably had one of the worst.
Oh, I forgot, Trump also needs to answer for Project 2025, because I don't think most Americans want to live in a minority-run misogynist, racist, homophobic theocracy authored by dummies.
Good grief. Take a civics course. The United States isn't a pure democracy, it's a federal republic. When you vote for your candidate in the primaries, you aren't actually voting for the candidate, you're voting for delegates who will vote for that candidate--unless, of course, the candidate withdraws or dies. If that happens, the delegates are no longer bound to vote for the candidate and may then follow their party's procedures for selecting someone else. If the attempted assassination had been successful, the Republicans would have done the exact same thing.
https://www.techdirt.com/2024/07/29...aga-democrats-have-moved-on-to-vibe-checking/ Republicans mad we're making fun of them. This is hilarious. The democrats finally figured it out. I feel like I've taken a party drug.
It is hilarious. The side that doesn't care about hurting feelings is crying about getting their feelings hurt. Then we had this.
I watched President Biden's NATO press conference. It was unscripted. He answered questions about complex international politics. I disagreed with some of his statements. But he was clear, concise, on point, and showed remarkable grasp of world issues. He walks slowly. Sometimes he struggles for a word or loses a thought. He is not senile. In a million years Trump couldn't answer these questions and doesn't try. He just says if he was in office none of these problems would exist. The force of his genius and strength all that is needed. Besides, he trusts Putin.
