If Bryan tosses another shutout, his ERA will drop under 2.00. His stuff is ridiculous, open hip gunslinger arm angle. Comp: Luis Castillo (teammate)

a rando "Mariners expert" was on 1080 the Fan this afternoon. He was bragging about Julio being back ?? Soo J-Rod getting brought back too soon, and reaggravating his ankle injury is OK because he hit a bloop single?

The dude obviously doesn't watch Seattle baseball. He didn't say 1 word about terrific pitching. But he took his opportunity to troll George Kirby coughing up 11 earned runs. Which in fact was reduced to 6 earned runs a few hours after headlines, because scorekeepers determined there were defensive whoopsies.

He then threw Scott Servais under the bus, only because he wasn't using Justin Turner enough (ignoring his bruised hand injury)

where does 1080 radio show find these guys? Here's last week's Yakima Herald paper and a microphone. Put your Mariners cap on and start talking.

Meanwhile the despised Oakland A's last week surpassed their win total for all of last season. Which means shit owners will probably trade their best players for A ball minor leaguers.

Skenes has a very nice chance for a no no tonight. Considering making a bet. M's are STILL the worst offense in baseball and K the most. The signings at the deadline have done absolutely nothing to change those numbers so far. They need to fire all management, including SS and his lackeys. But they won't and next year will be pretty much the same lineup as this year.

I believe Brad was going through a divorce. He took a 20% cut of the 50m movie budget to pay off Angelina.

I still haven't seen that movie, it looks pretty good. I think the Guardians of the Galaxy actor is the hero of the day. Marvel should cameo a baseball scene with Star-Lord.

I missed the game. Checking boxscore::

Dylan & Randy struck out as many times as the Pittsburgh Pirates (9).

... you could put a lump of clay on these guys, and they'd spin up a salad bowl.

They went from the penthouse to the outhouse in record time faster then it took Disney to destroy Star wars so they beat someone -- gratz M's -- you at least won something

Who's idea was it, with a runner on 2nd, to throw change-ups to the Pirates big fat DH slugger ??

that 2 run shot basically won the game for Pittsburgh. Yes, I'm blaming the coaches.

I am starting to wonder if the M's are in a situation similar to the Blazers with Dame and Stotts --- I know Service is a good manager but is he good enough to get this team over the hump ? I am not saying fire him but unless they go out this summer and add at least 2 to 3 bats then pretty decent chance we see this same result next year. I think he deserves one more year but the owner has got to say screw it let's get it done cause the fans deserve it so the owner needs to step up or just screw off and sell the team.

I'm under the impression Head Coach nepotism is a prevailing factor in NW sports. If a Mariner isn't visibly happy and having fun like the Head Coach... they're gone.

(Except for Cal Raleigh and George Kirby, clearly too much talent to part ways with. The executives scootch down from their office to have a nice "chat" with Seattle's best players, if they short circuit and go public with their frustration)

    - Jarred Kelenic got mad and kicked a Gatorade bucket. OMG, that's violent, go play somewhere else.

    - Jesse Winker got beaned (on purpose), and he attacked the Angels dugout. OMG, that's horrible! We can't have angry people in Seattle. Get rid of him.

Happy rainbows & unicorns. Fuzzy warm puppy dogs & kittens. When this narrative gets transferred over to Seattle's NFL team, even stranger things can happen. Like losing the Superbowl on a poorly executed 1 yard pass play, because management wanted Russell Wilson to take home the MVP trophy.

A winker and kelenic apologist is a weird route to take. Those guys are both idiots and not even great ball players.

The two examples you used don't make sense, though.

Kelenic had a great start that year then fizzled. That reaction didn't make the team say he's gone. It was in aggregate.

That incident with Winker actually started the historic win streak and awesome vibes. He was loved until he wasnt.

But man, is there so much that needs to change. It's a permeation.
