    My 18-year-old daughter just spent the whole day Saturday walking around and cleaning up in downtown Portland... Never once felt threatened or in any danger. Though there was a buck ass naked dude riding a bike... And they did see some drug paraphernalia across the street from one of the health centers.

    Thats because she was there during the day.
    I was just there friday night. its a zombieland. I was having a drink outside at dantes and this shirtless dirty smelly, drunk as a mofo, high as a kite guy asked this lady for a light. She gave him one and he tried to light A butt and it wouldnt light. He threw it down aNd asked he for a smoke. As she reluctantly started to give him one he tried to grab the pack from her hands but security was right there and cut him off aNd told him to get lost.

    I parked on 11th two cars down from a car that had once caught fire but no longer had an engine im it but a fucking grill. Someone has gutted the cab and was sleeping in it and bbqing in the engine space.

    The wife and I were at an establishment the other night off of 10th and Burnside and go figure, it was a perfect evening with no issues. I think hanging outside a place on 3rd and Burnside has been a bad idea for over 60 years to be honest.

    For the first time in a long time the wife and I drove in to have lunch at Mother's Bistro on Saturday. Like I said, it had been awhile and we were both blown away by how cleaned up the area had become. No homeless, no turd piles, no urine smells (it was a hot day too), no panhandlers. Just a nice Saturday afternoon in a jumpin' city. Fuck the national news media and the whiny conservatives. Downtown Portland is on its way back and I suspect the crowds I saw all over town would agree.....
